I didn't eat here but food smelled good. We ran into Oades when we snuck out of Zap Zone to take a break from the chaos of kids. Had a couple beers and tequila shots. I was impressed by how clean, new and somber it was, my type of bar for sure. Prices were great, the bar maid was perfect, naturally friendly. I only wish there was some music in the background as it was too quiet for me :) cant wait to go back
Review Source:Walk into Oade's and ask about Iris. Â Guaranteed someone there knows me. Â
This was my quintessential regular hang out for about 3 years. Â I even met my bf there. Â Frankly, most of the people that I cavort with nowadays were/are frequent patrons. Â I perused my Oade's photo collection, and yet failed to locate one deemed Yelp submission appropriate.
Oade's is such a "regulars" joint, that everyone knows your name. Â As much as I once joked about having a gossip rag mag, one of the daily customers created a myspace page for it. Â
Here's what to expect:
*Find a ton of after work servers in the late-night or the older 9-to-5-ers  around dinnertime.
*The rail is the prime seating area for service as usually there is one bartender manning the place. Â
*Behave, though, as Jerry may crack skulls if you get salty with your bar mistress.
*Considering the lack of legitimate employees, you will often need to come up to the rail for adult bevs if you are out on the floor.
*Silly restaurant workers tend to enjoy the Red-headed sluts and Minderasers - know which flavor you desire.
*Many drinkers seriously participate in Keno, pool, and darts so come cash in hand.
*Food is do-able, and as you guessed typical bar fare, with some deli sandwiches mixed in.
*Yeah, hook-ups are inevitable everywhere, but if you are looking for a meat market, head over to Reno's. Â This is a friendly hang-out.
*It's a hole-in-the-wall in a strip mall so you may miss it off of Saginaw. Â Find the Meijers intersection and head north down Elmwood.
Say hi to my favorite bartender, Nan, for me.
