The Oasis

A group of us went there for lunch today. Friends had recommended the place.  I didn't realize the name of the place was 'THE' Oasis, so I missed the reviews.  I really wish I had seen Russ's review before I went, because I couldn't find my way back through the smoke to leave once I walked in there, so I just sat and ordered.  Ugh.
I think my burger was good, but I wasn't sure, because I couldn't really taste it through the smoke. I sampled fries and home fries. Neither were crispy. The onion rings were good. And my group really loved their Ranch dressing.
The best thing about our visit was the server. She was prompt, friendly and accurately served our order.
I thought the place was fairly pricey, my bill was higher than 5 Guys, and at least that place is smoke-free and clean. And Mugshots would be my choice if I wanted some booze with my burger.
I won't return.

The cheeseburger and fries are very good.  I swear it tastes identical to the cheeseburger and fries at Hooligan's.  I went at an off-peak time, and the only thing that screams "biker bar" to me is the parking lot reserved exclusively for bikers.  Otherwise, it's just a restaurant that plays country music...not sure that makes it biker-y.

This place has a local reputation for great burgers. We just had to check it out. The burgers themselves were outstanding. Big beef patty, lots of great toppings...the burgers looked and tasted really good. The sides we ok. Onion rings were cooked just enough to be crunchy... I'd prefer them fresh not frozen. Fries were good.
The decor is standard biker-bar.
The only negative is that the whole place is smoking...
Not so much of a "family" atmosphere. But, for lunch today not bad.
I'll go back.
