O'Charley's

Near the Tippecanoe Mall, this location is pretty popular. During busy times you may have to wait to be seated. The food is typical pub food at a good price. The loaded potato soup and the chicken salad are the highlights. I have been here numerous times and I have no complaints. Friendly, fast service even during lunch times. There is a nice lunchtime special that is nicely priced. You get a small sandwich or pasta entree along with a soup or salad.

Great food, great service, great value!

I've been to O'Charley's twice and have had great service!  The second time I visited was a week night for dinner so it wasn't too crowded or noisy but a decent crowd.  My boyfriend and I were greeted warmly and seated immediately. Janelle was my waitress and she was fantastic! She was helpful, kind, and always checked in on  me and my boyfriend.

I had a survey coupon from my previous visit for a free appetizer and we ordered the Good Time Nachos and we brought a minute later.  The portion for the appetizer could of been the meal or split between 4 people.  Plus, Janelle brought out their famous soft yeasty rolls. Just like Olive Garden's bread sticks are to die for, so are O'Charley's yeast rolls.

I ordered the Pecan Chicken Tender Salad and my boyfriend ordered the Chicken Tenders with curled potato chips. He ordered from the $9.99 menu, where you purchase one of the dishes on the menu for $9.99 and for an extra $2.99, you get a Cesar salad and a dessert. We were too busy indulging in the large plate of delicious nachos, a Cesar salad, and unlimited supply of yeast rolls to worry how long the main courses arrived.  When the main courses did arrive, we both were half full.

The portion sizes of our main courses were unbelievable! The size of my salad could feed 3-4 people as well as my boyfriend's main dish could feed a few people, too.  We ended taking the rest home which made up for lunch AND dinner the next day.  We were both too full to consume dessert, so we took that home, too.

The drink menu is pretty decent for a casual sit down restaurant.  There are specials for game days since O'Charley's is in range of Purdue University.  The prices are reasonable depending if you're getting a mixed drink, or beer.

It was very neat and tidy in the restaurant.  It was close to closing time but I remember my previous experience, everything was kept clean and tidy.

Parking is just right outside and there a quite a few parking spaces.  There are To-Go spots right in the front.  

The location is in a great spot.  It's on the outskirts of the Tippecanoe Mall so if anyone wanted to do some shopping before or after eating, the mall is in walking distance.

Overall, great value for portion sizes, fantastic service, and delicious meals anytime of the day! I will be back when I visit Lafayette!  I highly recommend O'Charley's for a casual and great food restaurant.

I came here for the first time a little over a month and a half ago, and I have been back twice since.  On their windows, O'Charley's claims to have "great hand-crafted steaks," so that's what I've gotten each time I've been.  The first time, my steak was amazing!  I cleaned the plate.  However, the second and third times, my steaks were extremely salty and extremely crispy on the outside.  Inconsistency is not a good thing in the restaurant business, and it is definitely the reason why I don't think i'll return to O'Charley's.  On the other hand, they are very allergy friendly, and the overall atmosphere, while a little too bar-orientated, isn't the worst i've seen.  For the area, O'Charley's is an okay choice, however for the money and quality, i'd rather drive a little bit further and go elsewhere.
