The "WORST" experience ever the wait staff so disorganized we were ask to pay three times from staff error when we never questioned the total nor moved tables when ask to pay a third bill of $12.13 we ask to speak to ( Manager/Owner he said ) and found his managemant skills if any the same horrible ! not to metion the one stall bathrooms with overflowing trash are used by both sexes yuk ! ! and the band would hardly be considered 'B' circut in my opinion !
Review Source:I have dined here 3 times. The first was an over salted burger with hard fried green tomatoes. The second was a good chicken salad sandwich and the third was a grilled chicken dish with mushrooms. The chicken was good but the sauce on top was too thin and I only received 1.25 pieces of mushroom. A little skimpy. The owner seems nice and was very friendly but he needs to read some reviews and fix his menu quickly. The "chef" seems to be in the dining room each time I come and instead of apologizing for the salty burger, basically told me that I was the only person who didn't like their great burgers. What do you say to that? The banana pudding tastes like it came from a can. This restaurant is either a hit or a miss. Hope you get them on a good day.
Review Source:Good food and good service. Waitress was very friendly. The fried okra is delish! My husband and I shared a fried cheesecake for dessert and it was very good also!
However, we went on DJ night and it was just a pre-recorded track. Could have tried a little harder with that!
I will be returning to eat. Good place to get a drink and relax!
My husband and I both ordered a burger - fantastic! Best burger we've had in a long time! We sat at the bar and enjoyed talking with Sarah the bartender. The service was friendly, prompt and the restrooms were spotless. We will stop there again when we are in the vicinity. Great place!
Review Source:This place is an excellent addition to Fayetteville with a couple of easily fixed flaws. The menu is good for a pub, I enjoyed the choice of toppings and reasonable price of additions to the burger. My wife really enjoyed the fried green tomato BLT. Atmosphere is great.
But there is one major thing that prevents me from loving this place. The first time I visited was a Friday night. They had a DJ with folks dancing, it was fun. However, the volume in this place is out of control. You have to yell to speak to the person right next to you. I'm not talking about raising your voice as you have to at a normal bar, but actually yell.
When we had dinner and drinks there last night, a band started to play. This was a nice fun time cover band, enjoyed the music, but as soon as they started playing, goodbye conversation. Yelling required again. This wasn't music meant to be heard extremely loud, this was nice background music, you know, cover songs!
WHOEVER IS IN CHARGE OF THE VOLUME,YOU ARE DOING A TERRIBLE JOB.
The music didn't hurt my ears, you just can't have a conversation while it is playing. I am at some sort of bar at least once a week, all over Atlanta. This is hands down the worst offending bar in this respect. Fix it guys, I would love to make this my regular spot for drinks.
We had a great time here. Â The atmosphere is very welcoming and we thought the menu had a lot to offer. They also have a very nice patio out back. Â We just stopped in for a beer and had already eaten so we only ordered an appetizer THIS time ;) Â We did however hear from other customers that the burgers were great, the Ruben was delicious, and the Fried Green Tomatoes were a must. Â From our own experience, the beer was cold, the service was great, and the other customers there were friendly. Â All-in-all a we enjoyed our experience at the Old Courthouse Tavern and will be back for more.
Review Source:Neither of the previous reviews on the tavern were very helpful. Â My wife ordered a Fried Green Tomato BLT, said it was delicious. Â I had a club sandwich, really liked it. Â My side was Fried Green Tomatoes, they were great. Â The dipping sauce for them was zesty and flavorful, my wife started dipping her fries. Â Shared banana pudding for dessert, really enjoyed that as well.
Old Courthouse Tavern also had a nice atmosphere to it. Â Planning to go back.
We tried this restaurant with friends today. Â Appetizer: Â Fried Green Tomatoes...we got 5 of them for 7 bucks..no seasoning, very blah. Â I sent back the creamed corn because it was so greasy, I could not eat it. Â The food was below average. Â For dessert, my friend ordered the Fried Apple WonTons..what she got was a cold piece of apple pie that was store bought with no apology for the discrepancy. Â Truly disappointing!
