This was one of the bars my friends and I checked out during our visit. This place was crowded. There's karaoke and pool tables for entertainment. I wasn't too crazy about this place because the people I met (out of towners) were rude to my group when we were playing a round of pool. When we got to the table, we asked the group sitting near it if we can use it (which they did). A few min later, two of the guys were interfering our game and trying to get us to finish quickly. I never experience that when playing pool at other bars but it was a big turn off.

There's really nothing special about the place and better bars to hang out at.

I came in for  the first time the Saturday before St. Patty's Day. The place was hoppin' the drinks a little slow in getting to me but they were good. I never did muscle in on the karaoke or the pool tables. (There were already a lot of people on em) Maybe if I had been with a group I would have. I ended up having a really good conversation at the bar but I can't wait till next time :)

We came here for NYE. I was slightly concerned about the nightlife here for NYE, but the place was rockin! Karaoke, free hats and whistles. So much fun! Drinks didn't seem too pricey or anything. I of course sang me some Karaoke...the DJ was a little uptight, would let me do the Old School version of Total Eclipse of the Heart...lame! We also wanted to sing some Backstreet Boys...ya I know...and he didn't have I want it That Way! What?! Other than that snafu, we had a blast...oh and other than that rando drunk guy that purposely spilled his drink on my hubby due to the fact we wouldn't let him kiss our friend...the bouncers were quick to get him out of there. Staff was very friendly, I would for sure go back there again!

Who knew that the nightlife in Leavenworth is all about karaoke!  This place cracked me up!

The place was packed with mostly locals and they were taking over that mic like no one else.  Everyone seemed to know everyone and everyone was SO drunk!  I fortunately was with my friend who lives in Leavenworth so we were treated great, no problem getting a drink at the bar, and everyone sung along with our karaoke.  :)

This is definitely not your usual bar in Seattle so prepare yourself for cheaper drinks, spills, older men hitting on all the bachelorettes and washed denim with sequins.  Hilarious spot and a go to when partying it Leavenworth-style.

I came here for a bachelorette party. The person at the Solstice Spa and Inn recommended we stay in Leavenworth instead of going out to Chelan to play. It was probably a good idea that we did stay in Leavenworth because this place was like half a block to the Inn. We never made it to the Loft (which is where she recommended) because the bride to be ended her night a little earlier. I guess so did I. It turned out to be really fun because there were 3 other bachelorette parties and a bachelor party there.

I remember one local sitting at the bar that wasn't particularly nice but other than that everyone else there was extremely nice. I didn't really have any drinks here at the post office but I saw in my previous friend's post that when she came here they water down the shots for the tourist people.

Karaoke was kind of fun and the person who manages it was really into the music however song selection/ and process could have been a little better. Otherwise overall good experience and good location. I don't think we would have wanted to walk more than half a block at the end of the night.

Looks fun at first glance but desperately needs new management. This place has pool tables and dart boards. It's right downtown and stays open later than alot of places. We have been in a couple of times while visiting Leavenworth and had a good time. We stopped in on a Thursday night. My husband and I  ordered a couple of "Westside" cocktails and were immediately singled out as "tourists" by a couple of intoxicated locals. The Heavy Blond Bartendress helped matters by stating loudly that she would be charging us for doubles and promptly did so, further encouraging the two and getting chuckles from the bar and people close by that apparently already knew she poured heavy.  We are not kids, or rowdy and certainly not looking for a bar fight,  we were just out for some fun in Leavenworth. One local boy followed my husband into the bathroom and tried to stir trouble in there too, jeeeez.!!. As we had just paid an exorbitant  amount for 2 cocktails, we finished our drinks and left. It was very very tacky, very uncomfortable. I am not sure what the problem was but the bartender definitely was not at all in control of her over-served clientele. It was pretty apparent they did not want tourists here !

WARNING: THIS PLACE KICKS OUT WOMEN WHO STAND UP FOR THEMSELVES TO DRUNKEN LOCALS!!!!

My boyfriend went here last Saturday while on vacation to sing karaoke. They hassled us a bit when we came in about my service dog (I showed the doorman his papers, and was still met with, "well, I guess I can let you in") but once we were inside,  we were fine! We tipped the KJ well, so even though there were a lot of people there we each got to sing. We had been there for about an hour and a half when I took the dog out to go potty and the trouble started.

As I walked outside, a guy hanging out and talking with the doorman yelled out at me, "Go Home Fat Ass" so I went back and quite calmly asked if he had just called me a fat ass. He stammered and said, "Uh no, I said ferret! I said go home ferret!" I replied, "Obviously my dog is not a ferret. That doesn't even make sense!" The doorman (who had been standing there the entire time and heard the man insult me) then told ME I had to leave because I was causing a scene!! I never raised my voice while talking to the guy; I was merely calling him out for insulting me.

So to clarify: The doorman kicked out the sober (our bar tab was $8) disabled female for standing up for herself, but let the drunken and insulting local guys back into the bar... the doorman's defense: he's just trying to keep the peace.

We went back the next morning so I could tell the owner what happened and to get an apology and was met with, "well, he was just doing his job."

Only bar in town with Karaoke, pool, darts etc most traditional bar in town. Good drinks OK service. Can get very crowded during summer months. Food was decent just like more bars. As for the watered down alcohol the drinks I've had there are usually very strong.

    Again place was ok.

There was four bachorlette parties there.  This place was packed.  Took forever to get a drink, but when we did they were good and strong.

It just seemed like a cluster F when were in there.  This place wasn't meant for a a lot of people.  Not much room to move.

They do have Pool tables, and Karaoke so that was fun.  Just not my type of bar.

Great place to finish the night when doing Oktoberfest.  Two pool tables and two soft tip dart boards means a short wait if that is your thing. The waitstaff is good, fast, and accurate with your tab of you set one up. That is a rare feat here especially when there are sooooo many people here or the festivities.  The food is deep fried, as most bar food is. It is not bad, it is just what you expect. But back to the staff - good people who are good at their job.

Pretty good bar for a small town. Lots of locals- they even have a wall filled with pictures of locals that get a special jacket. Service was ok but nothing to brag about- not to friendly as to be expected in a tourist town. Beer was a little pricey- picture of Budlight $13. All in all not a bad place to watch a game and throw back a couple of beers!!

When you're tired of pretzels, brats and German beers and you want to step away from the more touristy places, the Post Office Tavern is a great alternative in Leavenworth.  Northing fancy going on here, but you can get a good beer or bar drink, decent food and interesting conversation.

I had a salad, steak, baked potatoe and veggies for a very moderate price (under $15) and it was A-OK!

We enjoyed the low-key atmosphere, the great selection of football games and visiting with the owner.

    Don't come here if you're a tourist!!

A nice lady recommended for us to check out "The PO", as the locals call it.  So four girls from Seattle arrive in the bar looking for some good 'ole Leavenworth fun.  We had 6-8 shots EACH and were nowhere near tipsy.  Mind you, some of us are lightweights. So we knew something had to be up.  We talked to some of the locals and they revealed that they serve watered down shots and drinks for tourists. WHAAAAAT?  THAT GOT ME PISSED OFF.  But I still wanted to drink. So it was bottled beer for me.  WHAT a waste of money. I would NEVER EVER go back there again.

There's also a ton of shady people there. So beware.  The karaoke was ok... all country and no fun. We sang Baby Got Back and that really got the whole bar pumping.  That 4 minutes of Baby Got Back was the only fun I had there.

The first night we came in  the door lady came at us yelling NO NO NO you got to go.  It was embarrassing considering there were at least 75 to 100 people in the bar.  No problem, we left and went next door.  Apparently they had called last call, which is fine by me.

This is not a place to go if you want to experience what Leavenworth is all about.  This is a dive bar with what seemed to be a bunch of kids that must have just turned 21 years old   We went in again the next night because a nice lady begged my husband to come in and sing karaoke, after stepping inside this meat market for just a minute or so we quickly decided this place was not for us.  I love dive bars, don't get me wrong.
I will not visit this place again. The Tumwater Inn is open late and it is right next door, they have live music, great beers, liquors and wines.  The staff is very friendly.  Also at the end of the street is the Leavenworth Beer Garden, they have live music until 10PM and great beers.

My favorite bar in Leavenworth thus far!

Great, strong, cheap drinks. They have pool tables, bar food, darts, and some awful sounding karaoke done by the locals.

It's just a chill place to come and hang out. I had a long island, the fiance had a random shot, and 2 long islands, plus we got chicken strips and fries, totaling $36. It was reverse sticker shock for me because after having put all of that on my tab, I was expecting somewhere in the $75 range (Hey, I lived in Bellevue...) But I was very pleasantly surprised.

After one restaurant where we were not allowed to order drinks from the bar unless we had bar stools, this place quickly became our home base.

The Post Office isn't anything special, but while visiting a town like Leavenworth, it was nice to know there was a bar around that felt like most pool hall / bars i'd been to before.

The drinks were fairly cheap and the service was prompt.
