My husband and I went to Ona's this past weekend.  It was our first time in Yachats and decided to try Ona's because there were lots of vehicles parked there.  We ordered an oyster shooter ($1), crab cakes ($5), pot stickers ($3) and clam chowder bowl ($10).

The staff were very friendly.  The food was tasty, especially the crab cakes and awesome tartar sauce.  We were very happy with deciding to stop there.  They have a great view, good food and friendly service.

I have eaten here twice and both times were very good. The first visit was for lunch and the second was for dinner. I would say that this place is worth trying. I have read some poor reviews for Ona and I do not understand why. I received amazing service and high quality food. The ambiance is a huge plus. Since it is newer, it just seems so much nicer than other places on the 101.

My fiance had the veggie burger and we both agree that it is one of the best tasting meatless burgers around. I had some chicken scallopini dish. I usually do not eat meat but I was craving chicken. The chicken was cooked just right. It was tender and flavorful. I could not ask for it to be any better. I stole some of my babe's fries; they were impressive, crunchy, stringy, golden and just they way a fry should be.

Our waitress was probably the nicest waitress in the whole world. She really knows how to make people feel comfortable and at home. Other people must be very picky to find complaints about Ona.

The cocktails were actually quite good.  I had what they called "Dark and Stormy Night."  This is not to be confused with the Dark and Stormy which is black rum and ginger beer.  This was bourbon, chocolate bitters, and muddled orange and brandy-soaked cherry.  Not bad at all.

We ordered steamer clams as an appetizer.  None of them tasted as fresh as they should have, and at least three were not even open.  The cook shouldn't have served them to us.  The broth they were steamed in was tasty, but the bread they brought to sop it up must have been cut hours before we arrived.

My partner ordered the veggie burger.  It is made in-house from quinoa, beans, and mushrooms.  It is served topped with feta, and was actually quite tasty.  It was more of a fork-and-knife patty than a burger, but still, nicely done.  The Asian slaw that came with it also had a nice flavor, and the spices melded well.  It just had too much mayo or buttermilk or ~something~ that actually detracted from what would have been a very nice side dish.

I ordered pan-fried oysters.  The salad that came with it was fine; fresh greens, and a nice dressing, perhaps house-made, or perhaps from a bottle.  The oysters were more Panko crumbs than oyster, and they were certainly cooked long enough.  If you like lots of "fried' on your oysters, you might like these.  I like oysters. It was hard to find one in among the fried crumbs.

I had been looking forward to trying this restaurant since they opened.  Their menu looked good, and it still does.  The quality didn't deliver that night.

On the way out, we glanced at the bar.  They had a blackboard with happy-hour menu items that are not on the regular menu.  This might be a good place to stop by for happy hour, but if you want dinner, you may be out of luck.
