Friday night feature live Irish music. It's not very good Irish music but it is Irish.
My beer was cold and tasty and pretty cheap. My food was hot and typical pub grub that can be found at any Irish pub in the state. It's done okay. My steak fries were pretty good but if you can manage to screw up steak fries there is no hope.
The oddest thing about this place was the plethora of families with little kids in tow. Little kids allowed to run around the place bumping into things and standing on chairs. THIS IS Â NOT A GYMNASIUM OR A PLAYGROUND! It's a damn pub. Why do people bring their kids into a pub? I go to pubs to drink. Which their parents were also doing, their parents were too drunk to stop the kids from acting like little animals. What the hell.
Cheap cold beer, tasty fries and okay food get this place 3 stars, the weird atmosphere with kids in a clearly adult setting detracts 3 stars. A 2.5 star place if there ever was one, but yelp doesn't do halves, so 2.
Oh the waitstaff? Adequate. Â Intermittently inattentive. Pleasant.
Open late and conveniently located 30 seconds away from my friend's apartment in Salem. Â Went down on the tail end of the evening a few weeks ago and enjoyed some reasonably priced drafts and some darts. Â The crowd looked a little interesting...and had I been interested in a story I would tell for the rest of my life I would have considered interacting with them.
Oh and the bartender there is a most proficient tendress. Â I saw her do a back flip in between staging pints of Guinness.
So coming into O'Neills was our last option on a Halloween Happenings weekend. I was hungry, tired of the crowds and needed a place to crash for a couple hours.
What a surprise this place was. The food was excellent. I had a shrimp po'boy and a bowl of clam chowder. The sandwich was packed with shrimp. So delicious. The chowder was the best bowl I had the whole week. They must've put crack in it because I was so ready to order another bowl. It was creamy and seasoned just right. I ordered curry with my fries. Not so good and the curry sauce was an extra $1.50.
The atmosphere was great. An Irish band was playing and the Guinness was free flowin'. Yes, a good pour can be found here.
The one downside was our waitress was extremely slow. It seemed to take forever for drinks and food.
Other than that when I'm back in the area, instead of this being an afterthought it's going to be my first choice.
My husband works in Salem and since we don't have cable at home, we met up here for game 7 of the bruins first round finals. I was a little hesitant because of the previous reviews, but please don't let late night drunk snobby folks to deter you.
I hold the yelp reviews to be true, but this place deserves better - therefore in adding my own...
I ordered a side salad and the wings from the appetizer menu. The salad was wonderful with their balsamic dressing fresh mixed greens cucumbers, shredded carrots and grape tomatoes cut in half. Now, being originally from upstate NY I never expect much from wings in New England; however these were better than average! Nice, big, meaty wings with their own rub mixture that creates a light sauce coating over the wing. Not over cooked or tough meat. Just perfect. My husband ordered the Greek salad with steak tips. The tips were bite size, so he didn't have to cut them and nicely marinated. He didn't even use his dressing for the salad part.
So look, if your looking to finish off your drinking binge at a table here with wait service; go to the bar! Our waitress had a perfectly acceptable level of attention.
All in all - this is a great little hole in the wall with decent prices and better to be expected results.
Wow. Â I'm 24 and too old for this bar after 10pm.
It's amazing the shift that happens between 9 and 11pm here. It started out as a chill (mostly empty) Irish pub on a Thursday night. Just a few young professionals meeting to swap stories over beer and wine. Then the lights dimmed a bit. Everyone shared another round and the lights were even darker. By the time it came to pay our tab we could hardly see our bill. The music was no longer a dull murmur but a pounding beat and a DJ booth had been set up.
I went to the bathroom when we first arrived and it was a simple, clean women's restroom. When I went to go before we left, I had to navigate myself through a crowd of ugg boots and mini skirts with sequins without touching any of the creepy dudes standing along the wall. There were various empty nip bottles scattered near the toilets. I looked in the mirror and thought, "I have work tomorrow. I am too old for this."
Apparently my boyfriend and his buddies had many great nights here a few years ago. Many great nights they don't remember. Thankfully we are all past that phase (99% of the time) and there are plenty of other local spots to grab a brew.
Service: Sucks
Managemen: inept
Food: passable
Crowd: HILARIOUS after 9.
I don't live in MA and was visiting for a wedding of a dear friend. A large group of us came by earlier in the evening on a Friday. The server, aside from being an idiot, was also rude. Hey, I know servers get weeded, especially with larger parties, but if you don't have a defective personality I can handle mistakes. I promise. The server seemed so put out about my husband and I ordering food (with NO modifications, mind you) that I thought she was going to hurl the plates at us. Our party had a $500 tab, so you're welcome.
When I got home a few days later I was still thinking about how turned off by this place I was and thought the manager/owner at least deserved a phone call about the server.
The person I spoke with told me to go on their facebook page to share my experience. I thought that was really weird because hey, wouldn't  you want to know personally if someone in your company messed up? After I got off the phone with her, I received a call back from the owner badgering me to tell her who I was and that I had told her employee that I was going to badmouth her establishment on facebook.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME? So I explained that I was not on some covert mission to destroy her company and merely wanted to report a bad experience to the powers that be. Once she crawled back from the ledge she graciously offered to send the couple whose wedding I was attending (who were also present that night) a gift card.
That was in September. They are still waiting for the gift card.
But the disco ball and teeny little dance floor and Guidos? OMG. You just don't see that out West. Thanks for the laughs :)
We grabbed our last drink at O'Neill's a few weekends ago. it was not what I expected of an Irish Pub - dance floor? DJ? grinding 20-somethings?
Service at the bar was quick and they had your average draft selection. Good place to dance in Salem? Is there even another place to do this besides Rockafella's?
Wow, given the mixed bag of reviews, it really seems like O'Neill's is a different establishment depending on the day, time and reason you choose to go there.
I've only been twice, and each time have had a very enjoyable experience. The first time was on a Sunday night around 6 (at the peak of Halloween season), and I went with two friends and their kids. There was live Irish music, and we got a table right by the window. The second time I went, I was with a group of friends, and we went for drinks/early dinner on a Saturday after visiting the Peabody Essex Museum. Â Both times the food was consistent and very good - definitely a step above pub food - and they were able to accommodate one of my friend's requests to make her meal vegetarian. Â (There are more vegetarian options on the menu; this was a specific request.) The beer is great; I only get Guinness when I go here and the "greasy fries" that someone else referred to in a previous review are non-existent. The fries we had were fresh and light, and nothing was greasy, not even the nachos.
I can see why people would be disappointed coming here expecting a nightclub. It's an Irish pub, for God's sake. If you've ever been to Ireland, this is what you would find, a homey restaurant with music and singing and where children are welcome on the weekends.
There was no cover charge either time I went, and the prices are very reasonable. I will agree with previous reviewers that the service is slow, but if you like to linger (and lingering seems to be encouraged), then it's all good.
We live in the neighborhood, so this is kind of a default place when in need of a Guiness and a sirloin burger, fish & chips  or Shepherd's Pie,if you're not in a hurry.
Food is average, the usual pub fare.
Sunday nights 4-7 (thereabouts) there's live Irish music. Â It's very nice, quaint and cozy, and families and children join in the music and dance.
Low stars are due to: Â food remains spotty and below par for Salem, which has so much more to offer in the area...and worst of all is the slow service. Â Painfully slow. Â Every damn time. Â Doesn't matter if there's no one else in the place, you will simply be there for 2 hours. Â Expect it.
I've read the other reviews and I'll tell you why I am giving this place 4 stars. Â My husband and I are big beer fans and the tap beer here is the freshest to be found. Â My husband is a Guiness drinker and he said that the Guiness here is so smooth and just wonderful. Â I'll drink anything but I had some Shocktop and it was great. Â Also - can you say giant steak fries? Â mmmmmm - so good here.
I've been here for karaoke - it's fun and crowded if you like that. Â I was here once and sat at a table and the waitress service is slow. Â I would only come here and sit at the bar to get fast service. Â Oh, I have been here for the Irish music (Friday and Saturday early - around 4 or 5). Â It's great and people bring their little kids and they dance around - totally different than the "bump and grind" crowd that comes in later in the evening. Â It depends on when you come and what you are looking for. Â This place is all purpose!
It's Friday night and the Irish music is playing and we decided to try O'Neills for dinner after the makeover they had this past Spring.
The food was over priced for the quality. I had the fish and chips which were saturated in fry-o-later grease. The fries were Luke warm. My gf had a cheese burger which was Avg and forgettable. I had 2 beers and she had a mixed drink. Total bill: $60!
The worst part was the flies buzzing around us in the restaurant the entire time while we were trying to eat.
Our mission was to engulf my food as fast as I could to escape the flies that were landing on us and our plates.
With all the other great restaurants in Salem save your money and dine somewhere else and you'll have a better meal with enough money left over to pay for the cover charge at Club O'Neills.
O'Neills might have had a makeover but some places are better bars than dining establishments.
Instead of eating and dining.......O'Neill's should stick to what they're good at.......bumping and grinding!
O'Neills is an interesting place. Â You really have to know when to go and what you're looking for. Â
Trivia nights are great. Â The Wednesday night trivia is never super packed, but never dead either. Â You can always hear the MC and it doesn't get too rowdy. Â I've heard good things about the Tuesday night trivia as well. Â
When I was younger (21-22), I had a good time with the Thursday-Saturday crowd. Â However, if you are over that age, I wouldn't suggest going there at this time. Â It's all college kids drinking cheap drinks and trying to hook up after grinding up on each other. Â It used to be good music, but the last time I happened to pop in on one of those nights unexpectedly, it turned into a rave. Â It may have changed since then, but I don't really want to go back to find out.
I do believe that they have authentic live Irish music on Sunday nights (don't quote me on that, though!). Â It's a cool little addition, and at least stays true to its "Irish pub" roots. Â
Bartenders are always really good. Â Quick, polite, prompt. Â However, if you sit at a table, expect to not see your waitress for a while. Â Whenever I've been there in the evenings, the waitresses are slow, and sometimes a little flighty (I don't mean that in a mean way, they just don't seem to be paying attention sometimes). Â My suggestion is that you sit at the bar, or if you plan on being there a while, just hang out. Â Don't go for a quick meal.
I haven't eaten there a ton, but the stuff that I've had is average. Â It's not something I'd write home about, but it's not to the point where I'd avoid the food, either. Â If you're looking to hang out with friends for a night for some drinks, and happen to want something to soak up the alcohol, O'Neills is not bad at all!
I've also heard that they have kareoke. Â I have not been there for those nights, and as someone who enjoys good music, I tend to avoid nights like those!
So to sum up- Â O'Neills is average. Â It's not some place I'd go out of my way to go to, but it's not a bad place to go to if you don't have anything to do on a weekday night. Â You just have to know what you're going into when you walk through the door!
My boyfriend and I went to O'Neills to watch England vs USA for the World Cup. We got there a little early, and I was glad we did because the place filled up very quickly. I loved all of the big screens they had, so if you want to go and watch a game then this is the place to go.
I felt sorry for the poor waitress. She was the only one working and she was overwhelmed. It took 40 minutes to get our appetizer. It took even longer to get her to return to take our order; by then, about 1.5 hours into our visit (we were eating slowly to watch the game!), several more waitresses had come in. We had really wanted to try the breakfast, which was available when we first came in, but they told us since it was now past 2, we couldn't order it. They advertised a cheap beer (Carlsberg for $3) and were out of it. Â The food took forever to come. It was decent, and the prices were good so I can't complain too much about that.
All in all, it was a fun experience. I'd only return if we were watching another game. It isn't a restaurant that I'd frequent. I have to hope that it isn't usually that slow, and that they usually have the food and beer that they're advertising. Good enough for what it was, and the tv set up was great.
Been into O'Neills a bunch of times before the recent renovations, and then happened in last night after the updates. Â They really have jazzed up the decor and made it much more clean looking and feeling. Â Menu is somewhat similar, though they have pared it down quite a bit to a few sandwiches and entrees.
My party tried the nachos to start. Â These were probably the laziest plate of nachos I have ever ordered. Â Small amounts of cheese sprinkled atop very salty tortilla chips with a few diced tomatoes, olives, and jalepeno slices on top. Â Blob of sour cream and canned salsa thrown onto the side of the plate. Â I've made better after a long night of drinking.
I got the shepherd's pie. Â It was delicious, nice gravy. Â It was a little bit salty and lacked a good amount of mashed potato, but it was tasty. Â Other people in the party ordered sandwiches and they seemed quite pleased. Â I tried some of their fries, and they were yummy steak fries. (again, a tad salty)
Hey, it's an irish bar. Â Go there for good drinks, good company, maybe a few nibbly things to munch on. Â Wouldn't be my first choice for a dinner destination.
O'Neill's has undergone a pretty serious overhaul. Heh. I like that. "Undergone an overhaul." Anyway.
They've hired a new chef - stole him from Passports, in Gloucester, and man, they must be missing him up there. Â While the menu hasn't totally been changed - you can still find your favorite irish pub fare - they've added some great specials, and everything... just tastes like someone cares.
The Chicken Roquefort was simply fantastic, cooked to tender perfection with a coating of thinly sliced almonds, cooked with granny smith apples, with a white wine bleu cheese sauce. Â The turkey reuben was totally ungreasy, with perfectly toasted seeded rye bread and loads of actual roasted turkey.
The decor has changed as well - gone is the awkwardly placed sofa set in the middle of the room, and the wall that separated diners from one another has been 86ed as well. Â A much more open, clean and fresh look now. Â The taps have been moved to the back wall behind the bar, giving the bar itself a more open feel.
O'Neill's has really gone out of its way to distinguish itself from the area restaurants, with a new, upscale touch-of-class pub feel, but still a place where you wouldn't mind downing a few pints with friends. Â Which, coincidentally, is why I came here in the first place.
I've never quite understood this place...
Back when I was 21-22, they just started doing the Thurs-Sat night thing. Â At first, they had a DJ that played old school hip-hop, so even if you were annoyed by the girls in their Andre The Giant-style shirts (remember when girls all wore those stupid shirts with one shoulder strap?) that were pounding back Mike's Hard Lemonade, you could still get a decent drink selection for relatively decent money and hear some music that was fun.
Then, and rather quickly, it changed. Â I don't recall when, but one weekend I went in and we got the DJ to play some P-Funk, then the next weekend it turned into dance/transe/techno nonsense. Â So every guys with white sneakers and a striped polo shirt was thrilled, but I sure as hell wasn't.
Then they started making guys remove their hats, didn't let people in with sports jerseys on, even banished hoodies. Â After that they charged a cover. Â Yes, an 'Irish Pub', charges a cover. Â I remember it being like $2, then $5, now I hear they charge $10. Â $10 to go into a small L-shaped bar with almost no seating, shitty bar service, and a cramped standing area? Â Oh please, sign me up, I'm dying to go overpay for a Guinness, then have to piss in a urinal that has no dividers and the door is wide open. Â I'm fucking thrilled about that!
No, I'm not bitter.
In the off hours, you often find people bringing their kids in here. Â It's a bar! Â Their unsupervised little shits run around like annoying little lap dogs and ruin the good time for everyone else. Â I can give you directions to several McDonalds or other more child-friendly establishments that will keep your child from bumping my table every 10 seconds.
I'm also a bit upset that this place never seems to show soccer or rugby. Â This is supposed to be an Irish pub, but they always have some shitty college sporting event on TV. Â Ever heard of Six Nations? Â Setanta television?
It's not all bad. Â As others have pointed out, Trivia Night is a decent time. Â Sun-Wed at O'Neills is actually not too bad (if you avoid families). Â The menu isn't spectacular, but they have enough good offerings to make it worthwhile.
One really good time to go there is on Sundays nights for karoke, not every Sunday night, but on those long weekends where everyone has Monday off. Â You can actually get seating, have a fun time getting boozed up with your friends, and then embarrassingly go up and sing 'White Wedding'.
But for the sheer douchebaggery that O'Neills perpetuates from Thu-Sat, I cannot condone more than one start being awarded to them.
This is a decent place...drink-wise. Â Drinks are pretty good and not too badly priced (you'll stay under $9 per drink). Â The people sitting around the bar were friendly.
It's a bit sketchy beyond that though. Â There is a dance floor that is overpopulated by odd men looking to go home with a prize.
I don't know that I would go here again (I felt like even the low $5 cover charge was too much). Â My friends and I were just a bit too sketched out by the guys populating this place. Â Just stick near the bar and you should (and I say should, not will) be just fine.
I don't know. This should probably be more like 2.5 stars.
The atmosphere is so different every night and the whole place is pretty awkward. The set up is just weird and because most of the population is college kids it's a bit lame.
The drinks are good, at a decent price and the staff is pretty down to earth but I have definitely had a few not so fun experiences here and for that reason only will rarely go here.
Good music though and the nights that radio stations are in can be fun but otherwise Salem has a ton of fun places to go that are much more fun then this...
i'd like to mention that, during tuesday night trivia, this place kicks some ass. you're never without a drink and the waitstaff is so nice. it's a good, cool crowd of people (because i am there with some friends) and it's a super good time. no backless silver "shirts" and 7-inch stripper heels! yay! actually, i've worn pretty much the equivalent of sweatpants during trivia and not been publicly judged.
the food portions are generous and, between a few of us, i think we've gotten everything on the menu and been really happy with our choices.
O'Neills, you do not impress me.
$10 cover charge to enter a pub. Â You guys must have mistaken this for a night club! Â Lets see with simple drunken economics.
$10 cover charge per person. Â I bring $50 with me, so I'm limited to $40 to drink with. Â I stick it in the back of my mind that I had to pay a cover charge to enter a PUB! Â I spent the remaining $40 on alcohol and then cut myself off.
Now let's do this without a cover. Â I buy $50 worth of alcohol, I am having a good time and am probably plenty drunk. Â This is when the average person's credit card comes out. Â They make more money in the long run by not charging a cover. Â I, of course have a $20 hidden in my wallet behind my ID. Â I would have used that $20 to buy 3 more drinks + tip. Â
Since they charged a cover, my hidden $20 remained my wallet and they made less money. Â Drop the cover charge, stop the wanna-be night club vibe. Â Play the music you play, but don't try to be a pretender.
+5 stars for very awesome bartenders. Â They don't water down drinks, are very polite and social with you. Â Worthy of a tip.
-5 stars for having a cover charge on a frigging pub. Â
+2 stars for good music.
No plus or minus stars for the hoes that come in. Â Every time I've come, I've come with a girl as my company so I don't prowl for the women. Â I have noticed all the bronzed, glitzy ladies here. Â You're going to a pub to drink and dance, keep the $200 shirt and $300 jeans at home....you aren't impressing anyone. Â The women here are sub-par. Â The prior reviewers are 100% with the skankrific votes. Â Just come, get drunk and dance. Â Don't expect to find classy women here.
THIS IS A REVIEW FOR TUESDAY NIGHT STUMP TRIVIA.
Tuesdays at 8PM is Stump Trivia. The guy who runs this particular night does it really well. He likes to give clues in the songs he chooses. It being a schoolnight, there are NO jerks in the crowd; just trivia people! They have a pretty decent choice of drafts and excellent nachos.
Wow, I can't believe this place can be so different on other nights! Â Or maybe I can. Â I came here for an early dinner on a Sunday afternoon after checking out the Peabody Essex Museum. Â It wasn't just because there was a big rainstorm that afternoon, but I heard John Rockwell and Larry Young would be "hosting a traditional Irish music session" so I was like, ok let's eat here! Â
When our small group walked in the door, the place was not very busy with some guys sitting at the bar watching the Sox game and a bunch of families with children gathered around the musicians. Â My first thought was, kids in a bar? Â What kind of parents are these people? Â I don't want to sit with kids! Â
But it wasn't that bad. Â Technically, it is a pub & restaurant. Â I think these musicians play on Friday nights (I'm sure for a very different crowd) and they were playing everything from Beatles to Irish music to children's music. Â Some songs, it seemed like they were just singing as quickly as possible to the delight of all. Â My husband loves pubs, hates children, and even he felt like he could've stayed and drunk all night. Â
Our waitress was very friendly and nice. Â The only downside was the false advertising on their menu - breakfast is not served all day after a certain time and they don't serve pizza (what kind of pub doesn't serve pizza?). Â Otherwise, menu & food was very similar to a Chili's or Bennigan's to me.
We wanted to go for drinks on a Saturday night so we stopped in here as an alternative to Salem Beer Works. Â We were quite surprised how dead it was. Â Granted it was 930p but there were maybe 6 other people in the joint. Â We couldn't figure out why they would need 3+ bouncers until 11p rolled around and the place filled up with the young'uns! Â My date and I felt REALLY old when the kids with low-slung pants and the polo shirts with popped collars that Nick D. refers to below came strolling in. Â I can't believe you'd want to pay a cover charge since it's just a standard bar and the music isn't even that great. Â But I guess it's the cool place for the college kids on the North Shore.
It was fun people watching at least and my beer was nice and cold on a hot summery night. Â Our waitress wasn't very friendly (don't think I detected even the slightest trace of a smile) and spent most of her time in the corner on her cell phone. Â She didn't seem to take it very well when my date asked if they had a food menu either. Â She replied disdainfully, "The kitchen closes at 9pm." Â Hrmm, like we were supposed to intuitively know that?!??! I think 9p is pretty early for the kitchen to close. Â Oh well. Â Not bad for a place to shoot the sh** with a cold drink before 11p, but otherwise nothing special.
This place isn't bad on the weeknights when I just want to have a beer and catch a game while pouring delicious beer into my face. Friday nights aren't bad before 10pm either with the live Irish music... but that's where it ends. After 10pm on the weekends this place turns into doucheburger central. You'll see more overtanned guidos wearing pink polo shirts with popped collars than you can shake a stick at.
Review Source:I personally like this pub. Being from the UK originally i appreciate hearing the different accents amoungst the patrons.
On fridays they have authentic irish music and its generally a warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff know what you drink and dont waste any time in refilling your drink when required :)
The only thing i guess i could say that takes it down from being the full 5 stars, is that around 10pm the clientele changes to mainly "chest thumping juiced up steroid using freaks" or "Guidos" as my friend likes to brand them.
All in all though, This is a great place and i have never had a problem since i started drinking in there, friendly staff really make the difference!
O'neills sucks something awful.....
If you live on the northshore you have inevitably ended up here at one time or another. I hadnt come here in probably 3 or 4 years and we were in the nighborhood so we swung in for a drink. Hoping that maybe it didnt suck as much as I remebered it sucking.
Something about paying $5 dollar cover at shity bar really gets my ass. But anyways we go inside and minus the peppers and onions it was a complete sausage fest. Something sucks about making your way to the dance floor only to find a sea of blowouts.....there was absolutly no balance.
The drinks were ok, but as usual O'neills sucks I cant remeber ever having a good time ever at O'neills. Hopefully Ive learned my lesson,
I went here once for dinner and the rest of the times for drinks. I went once on a saturday night and that was a mistake because it was all salem state kids dancing and falling all over the place.
The one time we went there to eat was halloween night. MISTAKE. The server we had must have been new or soemthing because she took forever with everything from drinks to food. And we were there on the early side- around 5:15pm. The rest of the time we have gone back have besides the saturday night once= has been during hte afternoon. It is fine then. They have irish music jam sessions. The one mixed drink I got there was watered down so I stick with wine or beer.
So this place used to be fun about 5 or 6 years ago. Â Since then it has gone down hill!!!!
The fiance and friends took me here for my 21st years ago. Â It was awesome. Â It was karaoke night during a snow storm so we pretty much had the entire bar to ourselves. Â Â That was a good night.
We have been there about a dozen other times and it has grown considerably worse. Â The clientele is sketch, and the place is always over packed. Â
Avoid like the plague!
I went to O'Neill's on a Saturday night with a group of six people. Granted, we went the Saturday of Thankgiving break, so that might have affected attendance - I assume this bar is much more crowded on a "regular" school Saturday night.
Being a working professional, I actually enjoyed my quick trip back into college life. When we first arrived, there wasn't a single person on the dance floor, but soon filled up. We had fun dancing.
I would say that the drinks left something to be desired - my sex on the beaches were $7 each and seemed watered down.
Would I go back here? Possibly. Would it be my first choice of how to spend a night? No.
I cannot stand this place. When I was 21, a long long time ago, this was a decent bar to go to. Now it seems to be a Salem State student hang out and a Salem High School class of 1998 jock reunion. Â
If you want to be groped by random guys, pushed, crowded etc. then head to this place. I'm all set with it.
I wish this place would curl up in a ball and DIE.
While I'm not going to launch into a rant about how this isn't really my type of place, because I'll really go anywhere that can serve a decent drink, whether pricey or not, and doesn't have a plague of donkeys lurking behind me.
I intentionally have not gone back to this bar since I left Salem. While groups of us have split off and head to various bars around town, I would rather go home than come within 2 blocks of this place. I remember one winter, probably in January of 2006, driving by and seeing hordes of girls outside in halter tops and mini skirts freezing, without jackets, waiting literally up to 30 mins to get inside.
I realize it's fairly convenient for locals, I could've walked here if I had really wanted to, but seriously, bring a jacket and hang it up inside. WHERE IS YOUR BRAIN?! They typically have a dj spinning top 40 music, and not even remixes of top 40 music, so you might as well skip paying him, and just put on Jamn 94.5 and use fillers during the commercial breaks. The drinks are lousy last I remembered as well. I can remember ordering a caramel apple martini and the bartender garnishing it with a marachino cherry? LIKE WHAT?! Ever heard of a thin slice of apple? Yes, why don't we just garnish everything with a cherry. Girls with low self esteem issues have probably started this trend, what with their cherry stem tongue tying "abilities".
