Opal Ultra Lounge

Not bad. Nice remodeled place, but music  was mediocre and the line to get in was pretty long. (Packed since we went on a Saturday.) Security patrolled consistently. Free cover for my whole group due to coupons we received in the casino - also, ladies got in free from 10-midnight. Worth checking out if you're spending a night out in Tahoe.

This way my first time at Opal.  We attended as a bachelorette group (which is what they promote every saturday) and we received bottle service on the upper balcony.

No line when we arrived; it was pretty early.  So good for us!  Bottle service was simple and straightforward, no issues there!

The club filled up to a good sized capacity as the night progressed.  I will say the guys there were more aggressive and we felt like we were shoving them away instead of enjoying ourselves.

I do like the balcony upstairs, they limit the number of people up there and they have their own bar.  Its fun to dance up above while facing the people below!  You can see all the gogo dancers from there!

One negative is that our VIP section had no barrier to the outside.  No rope or anything.  So people kept coming over and sitting on our couches and we had to police it all night.  I didn't really appreciate that.  Some even went as far as attempting to help themselves to our bottle service! Rude!  This has room for improvement here.

Lastly, the restrooms are OUTSIDE the club.

Deciding to spend your night at Opal is never a bad idea. They always seem to have specials going on for every night they are open( aka Friday's ladies drink for free with entry, Saturday's ladies in for free before midnight). Despite other reviews, I've never had to wait more than a few minutes to get in. They don't ever really hold the line. Yes the floors can get sticky from people spilling drinks, but from my experience there is always someone there to clean up the mess within a few minutes.

The drinks are nicely priced and are never watered down.  The music seems to get better as the night progresses as well. There typically are go go dancers and then some other dancers that are being getting body painted for everyone to see.

They don't have a bathroom within their lounge! You will have to venture into the casino but they are really good about reentry and don't limit how many times you come and go once you get their wristband on!
