Great Pizza with tons of options.  From basic build your own pizza to Gluten Free and Vegan options.  I always enjoy hanging on the patio during the summer.

Not the worst pizza.  They have great rotating taps that circulate through.  Sometimes the service is spotty, but they are very nice people.

I had the Novelli pizza which is a chicken pizza with alfredo sauce and prosciutto, mushrooms and artichoke hearts on a thin crust.

I fell in LOVE, not like, LOVE! Then I went home and wrote that pizza a sonnet. Then the pizza added me on facebook....you could say things are escalating... We're hanging out again tonight....so....no big deal.

I wanted to give Pacific Avenue Pizza 3 stars, but I think the description "Meh. I've experienced better" was the best way to describe this pizza joint.

We ordered the garlic breadsticks, they were pretty good.  Served hot, which was a definite plus.  I was excited about the margherita pizza, but was disappointed to hear that they do not use fresh mozzarella.  Strike one.  We settled for the supreme and hawaiian-style (canadian bacon/pineapple) pizzas instead.  We really liked the seasoning of their red sauce, but thought the pizza was lacking something.  It seemed a bit greasy and there weren't many toppings on it.  Maybe they were running low that particular night?  To be fair, I saw the pizzas that other people ordered and they looked much better than ours.  Maybe we just ordered the wrong thing?

The atmosphere was cool.  It has a comic-book theme, which gave the restaurant a unique feel.  The service was great, our server was nice and attentive.  If I could, I would give them 5 stars for service -- however their pizza was just middle of the road for me.

Me and wife and 5 year old came here after buying a croupon offer. The  people hanging out steps away from the front door smoking at a area bus stop was a kinda a downer. The Place has a comic book theme thruout  and calls itself a pizza place but had more of a bar feel (loud music and large bar area ) than i was comfortable with my 5 year old there but was told minors were ok.The pizza and customer service was very good even though he mssed up a extra cheese request i had placed. Would go again but  this isn"t a kid friendly or  family type establishment (minus the comic book themeof course) :).

Awesome food, good beer, great ambience. Love the back patio. Service can be slow, but with a beer in your hand, who cares!

This is really at a 2.5 stars borderline 3.5 stars to be honest. The pizza deserves 4 stars but the service here is just horrendous. They should be cranking out the pizza and the bar staff should be slinging those drinks with a fury for how small it is. The food is good, don't get us wrong, order it for pick-up by all means. It is painful to us to see how slow everyone moves, please for the love of god invest in another pizza oven. You're known for pizza and it shouldn't take 40 minutes for us to get one pie. All the frustration aside for being only 2 stars, you should check it out it you have nothing to do all day.

My wife and I like to come here for both pizza and the hot sandwiches.  We have yet to have a bad meal.  It's a cool place to hang out and they have outdoor seating as well.  While the service has not been spectacular I wouldn't call it bad either.  The food does stand for itself thus the reason I'm giving them a 4 star rating.

Slow and unenthusiastic service. Seemed annoyed we were there. A great meal would have made up for the disappointing customer service, but the food didn't impress either.

This is my favorite bar style pizza in Spokane. When I want something gourmet, I go to Flying Goat, but if you've ever been to Flying Goat, you know that place is always sooo crowded. Anyway, back to Pacific Ave. Pizza's great, we're vegetarians, and it's awesome getting fake pepperoni, I like to get it with real cheese. One time I got the vegan cheese, and it was still really good. The place has a real 90's feel to it, always has great music playing, 90's movies on the TV, comic books on the walls, stuff like that. It's small, only a handful of tables, but I've never not been able to get a seat. Great beer selection, everyone's friendly. Just walk in and sit where you want. Service is a little more relaxed, but not "slow", as other reviewers have complained, not as bad as other Spokane restaurants I've gone to. Certainly not keeping me from going. It's just a small establishment and there's usually just one waitress running the whole thing.  Anyway, I love the place.

Decor is amazing! I love the brick walls, comic book menus, but the Thai Chicken Sandwich was dull and flavorless.

I would maybe come back next time, but not paying for it for sure.

8 Dollars for a nasty sandwich? MEEEEHHHHHHH

    The Vegans Are Coming!

If Paul Revere had been an omnivore hell-bent on preventing tasty animal substitutes from making their way onto American pizza, he may have shouted this at the top of this lungs while riding through town on a valiant steed. But unfortunately for him, it's 2011 and no one listens to crazy yelling lunatics anymore. Well, no one except Glenn Beck fans.

Fortunately for us, we can enjoy fake cheese and vegan pepperoni if we want to. I think it's now a constitutional right (thanks, Paul). And the best place to get it is at Pacific Avenue Pizza.

I recently organized a meet-n-greet for the Spokane Vegans here. We called ahead to make sure they had plenty of vegan stuff, and when we got there we were delighted to find out they had lots of options. Two types of vegan cheese. Vegan pepperoni and sausage. And even vegan ground beef for vegan nachos! Yum!

And yes, they have real cheese and meats for all you omnivores out there. From what I hear, those are pretty good too. I had a pizza made with their spicy Thai peanut sauce, which was delicious. And I washed it down with a delicious beer. Yep, they have a full bar too.

The ambiance is great. Comic book and movie memorabilia deck the walls and some great music was playing as well. We have decided that it might just be one of our new favorite places to eat.

I'll leave you with Paul Revere's slightly less famous quote about pizza: "One topping by land, two of by sea. Oh, screw it, just make mine a double pepperoni."

I returned to this pizza joint last week, since I've moved to the neighborhood and had one pizza since then. And let me tell you: they take constructive criticism!

Not only is it obvious that they'll do substitutions if their pre-made pizzas aren't to your taste, there is a note at the bottom of that page that lets us know that they will substitute vegan meats, cheese, and gluten-free crust.

    WHAT?! That is freaking amazing.

I had a stomboli with spinach, kalmata olives, artichoke hearts, and vegan sausage and it was AMAZING. The toppings variety is impressive, the crust is delicious, and I love their red sauce (which I'm very picky about). They are doing great work at Pacific Ave. Pizza and I will definitely be returning.

Irritatingly slow service. "Pizza by the slice" is pretty much a joke when it takes 20 minutes (no exaggeration) to get a one-topping slice! The pizza was OK but not really worth the wait. Could have ordered a full pizza for delivery from a chain and gotten it faster than their takeout.

I love the food but the service could use some work.  It is also extremely loud in there making it difficult to enjoy yourself (unless your drunk like the other customers).

Located in Browne's Addition, Pacific Ave Pizza is a charming little restaurant.  First, they have a good selection of beer.  From microbrews to domestic, they should have something you'll enjoy.

For a pizza place they had a lot more food options that I would have expected.  If you're not in the food for pizza they have a variety of sandwiches.  I ordered the carnivore calzone which included pepperoni, sausage and canadian bacon.  The calzone was gigantic.  It was as large as a dinner plate.  Normally I can eat a whole calzone but this time I had to take 1/4th of it home.  The calzone wasn't loaded with grease and the ingredients were fresh.

The service was good and my waitress was nice.  The place has a good atmosphere and has a lot of outdoor seating which would be nice during the summer.  Even if I wasn't hungry for pizza I would still come here for a drink.
