Had the dirty hippie wheat beer which tasted great.  Paired the beer with the pastrami sandwich and cole slaw.  Pastrami tasted great with a smoky flavor but could have used a little more mustard.  Cole Slaw was pretty good as well.  Girlfriend got the reuben sandwich which she also said was deliciously smoky.  All around happy with the meal.  Wish I had more time to hang around to taste some of their other beers.  I would definitely return to this place and hope their beer makes it to Denver soon.

Beer is good. Food, not so much. Skip the meal and just have brews. Save your appetite for another place.

I make it a point to stop here whenever I'm driving through Western Colorado. It is a great little brewery with a laid back atmosphere and an awesome patio. What real brings me back are the smoked chicken wings. Holy Moly! If you have a little time this is definitely worth a lunch stop off or a dinner hang out.

It's so rare to get to a brewery that makes food that isnt fairly gross. I do love the whoe food truck trend but I think i have mentioned before, Jules carries no cash.
Anywhoo, we were starving after biking to all the wineries. The Dr and I ordered 3 beers to share while we waited for our food. The barleywine was delicious while the unfiltered wheat tasted like summer. The IPA was spot on. The food service was a bit slow having walked in with a crowd of tourists that were chattering about "What is an IBU?". We ended up getting another round before food arrived.

Solid beers and quality food in tiny Palisade.

We've been here twice, and after the first visit I was hard-pressed to go back. For starters, it took over an hour for us to get the brats that we ordered.

(Hint: if you arrive at this brewery after a very large group has ordered food, DO NOT order food as well, or you will lose 1 hour or more of your life that can never be replaced).

Also, the beer I ordered was okay, but not enough to thrill me into happily waiting for my food, or even into convincing me to order another beer.

HOWEVER, E and I returned on our most previous trip to Palisade, and E decided to order a beer sampler this time, instead of just any old beer whose name tickled his fancy. Turns out, their IPA is freaking delicious, and I convinced him to take a growler of it home with us. He also appreciated their Porter of Love, a 10.45% ABV Porter that I enjoyed a few sips of, but wasn't head-over-heels for.

Overall, I think this place is hit or miss. They have one or two regular beers that are enjoyable, but the food is so-so, limited, and slow. I would definitely go back again to check out their newest brews, but unfortunately, I can't guarantee I'll enjoy it.

Here's a tip for you - don't go to a brewery and order a margarita. Unless, of course, you want to basically drink a pint glass of tequila. Then by all means, go on ahead.

The patio is big and nice during great weather. The interior is kind of dim and dirty like a roadhouse in my imagination. It's not gross, just well-loved. They have a decent selection of food, which is lovely when you are drinking pint glass of tequila.

Next time I'll have to try the beer.

Middle of the night, middle of nowhere and the friggin' GPS is flippin' out! "Turn left now...."  Bitch I can't turn left now, there's friggin' railroad tracks on my left! "Re-calculating...."  FU! Okay, lots of cars up ahead... chain link fencing, looks like an auto shop... I hear live music! Fina-fucking-lly-found-it!
Feels like going to a rave or something. Dark, no lights, loud music, crowd of people dancing, drinking... I LIKE IT ALREADY! Funky vibe inside, kind of post apocalyptic "Boy and His Dog" movie scene, flight of beers in tiny mason jars, "Don't squeeze the orange into the Dirty Hippie until you taste it first! Takes on a whole different flavor after you add the orange.'  Mmmkay. Pretty decent to good brews. Yep she was right. the Dirty Hippy is two beers in one. I wonder if I dig it because I are one? Compared to Kannah in G-junc, this is Delta Tau Chi to Kannah's Omega Theta Pi. Just sayin'

Excellent beers. Great food at a good price.     Enjoyed it very much driving through!

Solid brews, average food.  They need to put a little more faith in their smoked meat - it has great flavors, but we felt they overpowered the meats with sauces.  Hubs had a pulled pork sandwich - the meat was good, but they slathered on way too much sauce which tasted exactly like Manwich.  Likewise, I had the Brewmaster's Choice Panini sandwich - a smoked turkey sandwich with blue cheese and BBQ sauce (which was just tabasco sauce).  The smoked turkey was great - but the blue cheese overpowered the whole sandwich.  With a little TLC and some extra attention to the sauces, this place could be a slam dunk.  All this said, the brews really are quite good, and the atmosphere just cannot be beat.  This is a remodeled old some sort of industrial building.  Very cool.  I also really enjoyed the 90's throwback grunge rock music.

Hidden location, good beer, outdoor seating, and great food!

We were looking for a bite to eat while at the destillary and they suggested this place!
Definitely not a quick meal, but super yummy!

I went with the Reuben - knowing they smoke al their own meat - and was that ever a fantastic choice!
Hubby did a buffalo chicken panini and wasn't as thrilled.

Next time we are in the area I'll be stopping here for sustenance!

They smoke their own meats here in a big smoker they have outside. I had the house smoked pastrami. It was huge, served on lightly grilled marbled rye with a pickle. It was a twist on the Jewish deli style that turned out pretty good.

This place is NOT GOOD FOR GROUPS! There were about twenty in our group and we completely overwhelmed them. You have to stand in line and order from the busy bartender, which can take forever. The kitchen is slow as well, so if you are in a large group plan on taking your time here.

Great beer. I loved the Blonde, which is a very light beer. The food is excellent--delicious sandwiches, and they smoke their own meat.

Definitely a hangout for the locals, and you might feel out of place if you're just stopping through town. But it's worth it for the food and beer!

This place is stop #2 on my Palisade Booze crawl after stopping at Peach Street Distillery (almost next door), and before ending the evening at The Livery (downtown Palisade).

Wonderful selection of brews always on tap for all your beer inklings. My personal favorite is definitely the 'Off Belay' IPA. They do IPA better than most. Not too hoppy, not too dark or light, and it still has such an intricate body of flavours. For their light beer, the 'Laid Back Blonde' has an easy drinking quality that is hard to dispute.

Also a great place to grab a bite to eat for lunch or dinner. If you want to try yourself a set of REAL wings, this brewery is it. I'm not talking about your greased up nuggets covered in (sometimes delicious) goo, I'm talking about wings yanked off of a chicken, tossed in the smoker, then crisped up to perfection. More BBQ style, with your dipping sauce on the side.

Note: Wednesday nights is their Open Mic night. Get there early to put yourself on the list and get a free beer for playing! Check out the board behind the bar to see what else they are offering for the week.

On the recommendation of the girl at Peach Street distillery, we tried the Brewery for lunch and were pleasantly surprised with the bbq.  The place is a bit odd in that you must order from the bar and then seat yourself but there is no menu posted anywhere.  The bartender gave us a couple of menus when asked though.  I had their red beer and it was very good.  Would definately return again.

Palisade Brewery was a wonderful end to our day!! The atmosphere was great as well the busy bartenders!  The beer samples available which was $5.00 for 6 samples of beer on tap brewed at the brewery and each sample were approximately 3 ounces. I have no complaints about this place and I can not wait to visit this place again!

I can only believe that the other reviewers were here before the new ownership. As a friend & patron of Dry Dock Brewing Co. of Aurora, CO, I try to go by other brewpubs and breweries to taste their wares & encourage their businesses. Unfortunately, this was not the hi-light of my week long trip to the Palisade area. The food was mediocre. The service was worse. And the beer less than wonderful. I had the IPA first and unfortunately the corny keg blew before my glass was full. The barmaid went to the cooler, grabbed another corny and brought it to the front, shook it thoroughly, poured off just enough to stop the foaming, and proceeded to fill my glass with the yeast dregs from the bottom of the keg. When I joked that it was a good thing that I liked B Vitamins she and the man working the place gave me the blank looks of people who know nothing about brewing and have no intention of learning. The trip to this brewery was the biggest disappointment of my trip. Skip the brewery and stick with all the local wineries. You will find much more pleasant employees and better beverages to quaff.

One of the better (best?) Colorado brewerys, for sure. Pretty decent BBQ in the summer, all set in a lovely town along the Colorado River. Pick up a six-pack of PAL  - -  the Golden Ale you just can't seem to find outside of Palisade.
Right down the street from Peach Street Distillery ... make a night of it!

Lots of fun, excellent beer. During summer outdoor seating and bands on Friday and Saturday. Bring your own small lawn chair, bring the whole family. Great staff. Small seating area inside.

Small little brewery make great beer and have started to produce their own soda pop.  Have limited cafe that the locals hang out in. Full view of their brew process. Cafe and bar actually in brewery warehouse.  If you ccome for the Palisade  winefest or the wineries don't miss this.  Brew enough brew that you can pick up their beer in local liquor stores, and growlers available on site.

Palisade Brewery is a little hidden gem down a dead end street... Just recently they started distributing their beers throughout Colorado, but I actually stumbled on their little brewery because I was looking for Peach Street Distillery, who just happens to be their next door neighbor. What a lovely little row of gluttony.

Anyways, this place is so great (and from the looks of my other reviews, I don't use that phrase lightly). The people working there are very friendly. They actually went out of their way when they overheard me and my boyfriend talking about how we wish they had the Dually (a double IPA) on tap that day, and produced one of the last kegs from way in the back of the brewery. This place also has good food, rare for an actual working brewery. They really only make 5 beers, but all of them are excellent, and very balanced. All in all, this place definitely is a must-do when in Palisade.
