  Huge portions.  Coupled with the free chips and salsa, there's really no reason to order a lot of food here.  Just eat what you really want to - which is probably just the ribs.  They have 4 sauces to try.  We also had the taco salad, but it was forgettable.  The bacon-wrapped string bean bundles are pretty good!

  I do not recommend this bar/club. The Palomino Room  is notorious for fights. None of the other bars have more than one bouncer, except maybe during rodeo weekend, but the Palomino Room usually has at least two, most times three. Also, the bouncers are not friendly. I understand that bouncing is a difficult job, but you are still servicing customers. Not even giving a simple "hello" or "have a good night" does not send a good message to the people walking into your bar.
  The Palomino room is the most expensive bar/club in Red Bluff. With three bars within close walking distance, it makes absolutely no sense to pay more for your drinks. If you like to dance and you choose to go to the Palomino Room, fine, but buy your drinks at the End Up or the Round Up; you will spend less money, your drink will probably be stronger, and you will likely get served sooner.
  As far as dancing and music goes--which is about the only quality the Palomino Room has--the Palomino Room often has DJ's spinning on Friday and Saturday nights. There is no set DJ, so one night might be OK, but the next will completely tank. And no DJ in any bar in Red Bluff ever sticks to one theme; all of them have eclectic, hodgepodge playlists. You will always get stuck with country and antiquated pop/rock songs at some point during the night. Take this as your cue to walk to one of the aforementioned bars and buy your next drink. While you are sitting there enjoying your beverage, take note that nobody is fighting, the music doesn't suck, and that the people there and the bartenders serving you are far more friendly. Soon you will likely abandon any plan of walking back to the Palomino Room and stay right where you are...your welcome.

  We stopped here a Friday night on the way to Oregon. I think it's the only bar in red bluff.. That being said, Palomino is half night club, half mellow bar with country music haha. Maybe we were there on a dud night but it was odd. Decent cocktails though.

  Just ate at Eric's Texas BBQ at the Palomino Room and I left with a full belly and a big smile.  
  
  Eric came out and talked to us about his move to Red Bluff and why he set up Eric's Texas BBQ.  Great guy, down to Earth.  Do owners ever come out and meet their customers anymore?  Nice personal touch to have this happen.  
  
  I started out with the Green Bean Bundles, green beans wrapped in bacon.  I have no idea why other restaurants aren't doing this.  They tricked me into eating green beans and I almost NEVER eat veggies.  
  
  Everything is bigger in Texas, right?  It is big here at Eric's.  We ordered the Brady Bunch Meal which consisted of ribs, brisket, chicken, beans, hand cut fries, coleslaw, and jalapeno corn bread.  Everything was cooked to perfection.  I'm not a fan of chicken, but this chicken was great...nice pink smoke ring, not over cooked/smoked.  The ribs fell off the bone.  The brisket had some nice bark.  
  
  Eric's Texas BBQ is BBQ done right.

  Opened for Lunch.  stopped by on our way through town and glad we found it.  The bar partnered with a Texas BBQ team where they do all their own smoking.

  Jäger shots we ordered were small and not jäger.   I lived the social life in Chico for 13 yrs... I know jäger.   Come on I own a jäger cooler machine.  :). Bad move on there part.  I will say Monday night football taco night is better than before.

  Awful place don't have party there. I went for a christmas party this last weekend and the bartender working the event was slow and extremely rude. So the party moved downstairs. The two bartenders working down there were great. They guy bartender was very personable and knew what he was doing. The girl on the dance floor bar was also fast. I wouldn't recommend having your party there or if you do make sure you request a different bartender not the young looking girl.

  THE ONLY reason why they got a bump was because their bartenders working last night were QUICK and a pleasure to watch.  I had a lot of fun dancing with my wife and with other friends.  the DJ was playing all great dance music which kept people on the dance floor all night.  The bouncers were big dudes but were cool at the same time.  I did get some entertainment last night watching people dance.  I was able to record three videos last night.  The first one is the bartenders doing their thing and doing it QUICK.  The second two are for entertainment purposes only.  The guy dancing in the left of the screen provided many great laughs for the night.  I'll be back there next weekend for Round Up.... IF they don't have a cover charge.  Maybe the owner will read this review and decide that an $8 cover charge is outrageous.  He will be making plenty of money off of the crown & Coke that all the cowboys will be drinking.

  Whatever you do, DON't have them cater for you!
  Frozen breaded shrimp when the host had requested shrimp scampi!
  How about meatballs for starters that you eat with your fingers as they do not provide silverware or toothpicks?  
  Or yummy roast beef served with stale hot dog buns?  
  Do not waste your hard earned money here!
