  I know this place has been there for years and the folks in Crosby seen to think their pizza is good, I have never had their sandwiches. And I haven't eaten there in a few years now so maybe the pizza is better now. But when I had it the crust was like cardboard the sausage tasted like hamburger and the sauce was akin to tomato paste. Myself if the pizza is the same as it use to be I would just as soon buy a good frozen one from the grocery store.

  Ah Papa John's Pizza...its not what you're thinking.  This place has been around long before that cardboard tasteless poor excuse for pizza chain ever came into existence.  
  
  Take and bake and sub sandwhiches are what this place does exceptionally well.   The pizza is loaded with cheese and whatever toppings you order, no skimping either (take a lesson, Domino's).   The subs are huge, and if you eat one I guarantee unless you're Joey Chestnut, you will be full.  They are a bit more expensive than say, Subway, but they are also bigger, better, and more tasty.  
  
  Basically, this is a small town mom n pop sub/pizza shop.  They are better than the chains like subway or the imposter papa johns because they care about making a positive impression on you so you'll return.    The only drawback is the tasteless corporate chains are a bit cheaper.  Sometimes its worth a little more to not feel like you're eating cardboard or just sugared bread.
  
  They also have other menu items, and they will cook the pizza for you if you like.  I have no experience beyond take n bake and subs though.
