My second time here and this night was very interesting to say the least. Lets just say the staff here knows how to have fun. There was a $10 cover on Saturday night but the hookah was good and the DJ was spinning good music all night. Good times all around and I look forward to going again after getting my arab food fix down the street.
Review Source:Ok I used to come here all the time it was super cool $10 a hookah great prices nice crowd, good music.
Last time I came here maybe a year or so ago it was CRAZY it was like $20 a person. If someone was not smoking hookah they had to pay like $10. Also there was a long line outside we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated.
There are way better hookah lounges out there especially if you do not want to be in a rowdy/crowdy atmosphere.
Who doesn't love a place that stays open even after the rest of the bars and lounges closes in this wonderful state we call New Jersey! Â Paterson has a great assortment of local hookah bars but Paradise is one of the better ones. Â As other reviewers have noted, the place has comfortable couches and a relaxing atmosphere that goes along with it. Â The flavors available are not as wide and diverse as other bars but it does deliver. Â It goes down very smoothly and the taste is simply divine; not overwhelming like other establishments. Â This place is worth a visit every time you want to have a nice conversation with friends or sit to do some law school homework.
Review Source:I really enjoy going to Paradise, and I agree with everything the previous reviewer said. They recently got new couches here, which classes the place up a little. Really a nice little place to go with friends, after the bar closes, or just to sit and get some thinking done. There is a tv, playing mtv, and there is also Wifi internet access. Usually I just bring my laptop, smoke, and do some Rosetta Stone........:)
*the only complaint I have, is that there is kind of a creepy guy factor here......but, take one look at the neighborhood (No women at all, and I mean literally........it seems like a Y chromosome exclusive town) and it's kind of inevitable, that with SO many men, that a few of them, or even a lot of them, would be creeps.
Old review: This place is great. They really take care of you. Compared to another hookah bar/cafe I used to frequent (Eros in Rutherford), this place is the business! They use legit big hookahs with a grapefruit as the tobacco bowl. This keeps the tobacco moist and provides for a super smooth smoke. Each hookah costs $10, and the waiters come around every 20 minutes or so and replace your coal with new ones. The hookahs last an easy hour or more of straight smoking. Will definitely go back. They do not serve food, however they have water, ice tea and sodas, so bring your own food and alcohol.
EDIT as of early 2010: This place recently changed ownership and now they charge $5 or $10 per person I believe. The hookah was not as good as before and not as good of a bargain.
