Belize Cafe & Restaurant

I've been here about 6 times since my initial review and everytime has been a good time. My last visit was during game 4 of the NBA finals and it was a nice time watching the game on all those screens and crisp audio. Quality and consistency are key in building customer loyalty and I would not consider another hookah bar if the ambiance is always this good at Belize.

We have absolutely fallen in love with this establishment.

We've visited Belize twice, and it is most definitely a very class act in the hookah bar department. Simple, comfortable decor in a flatteringly lit room featuring music with a good groove that doesn't make it impossible to talk at a normal volume. It is not my typical cup of tea musically, but in this atmosphere it is perfectly comfortable.

Of particular note is the owner, Lutfi, who goes by "Louie." This guy absolutely gets it, 100%, when it comes to guest service. So many establishments miss this mark by miles! Louie has it down to a science. During our first visit, he made us feel like we were invited into his very home. Super-friendly, sharp-dressed, and incredibly attentive, without being over-bearing. Not to mention, the hookah blend he put together for us was the best I'd ever smoked (no exaggeration). Smooth, pleasant and intricate flavors, and absolutely never-ending! Our second visit came about two weeks later, and upon entering, Louie remembered us immediately. A total class act, if we've ever seen one. (tip: if he is on hand when you visit, let him take the reins on your hookah, he's a bona fide expert)

The rest of the staff are no slouches either. Friendly, happy to be there, and always on point in keeping the coals fresh and hot for everyone in the room.

As if this isn't all wonderful as it is, the place is a BYOB. And if that's not enough for you, if you are hungry, they happily bring over food for you from the adjacent Sultan Gyro (which, so far, has made us killer gyro, spinach pie, falafel, and lamb pita), which is all put together on the same bill, no muss/no fuss!

We have yet to experience a weekend here, but hope to do so soon. It is apparently extraordinarily busy and often blocked out for private parties.

If you're seeking a really good, semi-hidden gem of a hookah place, we can't recommend here enough.
