This place rocks!  I think the  the complaints from 2012 that I have read on here were just problems of a new establishment getting started. When I went recently, the food was great, live music was awesome,  service was good even though it was packed. .  The atmosphere can not be beat. This place has everything! I will be he every weekend for the entire summer. Nothing else compares!

Nice location, beautiful beach, great history and awesome band called Slapwater! Â Waited at the bar for 40 mins, no service, not even acknowledged, manager wouldn't even acknowledge our presence ... Went to another side of the bar, same thing. Â We live here in the area... And this place was a let down. Â We will see Slapwater at Hampton Block Party tomorrow.... Where with 1000's of fans, we are always welcome and served, then Thanked!

We went on a Sunday afternoon. The weather was bad but we wanted to check it out. I have to concur on a previous poster's comment regarding the service. Â It was apparent to us that the staff was more interested in each other (all huddled up together for most of the time) than the customers. Â In fact, we were trying to get 4 bar stools together but the staff apparently thought that occupying 2 of them to chit chat with each other and the swarm of other employees was more important. Hint: Â customers should be given the seats! Â Sort of basic customer service.
Pros: great location and beach front, atmosphere, music, and the food was good as well. Also, boaters are welcomed.

We had super high hopes for this place! We went on Saturday the weekend after they opened at 2pm and it was packed! The pool had no chairs left and the tiki bar had no stools. Pretty good sign for a brand new business.
As soon as we walked up we were kind of put off, the guy working the 'gate' couldn't help us with membership info other than giving us a sheet of paper. We walked around and checked everything out, then we decided to eat. We found a table outside and then waited for 30 minutes before flagging down a random employee to find a server. The server was really nice, but overwhelmed and really slow. We ordered food and never got silverware, the drinks were watery and we waited a long time for them. The tacos were really good, though!
The pros are that it's a beautiful area, nice pool, cool idea. If you're going to sit on the beach or enjoy the pool, with some live music, it's perfect.
The cons are the complete lack of service and lazy employees. I think it'd be fine for one day, but members should get more for their money.
