  I have been driving by this place since it opened. I took my wife for a good seafood meal tonight. I spent $40 bucks and got frozen tasting shrimp and under cooked oysters. The hush puppies had bell peppers, corn which was weird. We will not be back.

  Yummy!  The owners did a great job renovating the building.  Apparently, the renovations are still on-going, as they're adding a deck for more sitting.  The actual space is not huge.  The building was originally some biker bar, so the place is not spacious.  An oyster house is an awesome addition to the area; and, the food is really, really, good.  The corn and catfish are the best I've ever had.  The pecan breading was crispy and perfect.  
  
  Parish is a new restaurant, but they are doing their best to work out the kinks and growing pains.  The decor is very chill, the beer selection good and waitresses are really kind.  I love the lighting.  The seafood and raw oyster lover will not be disappointed with the menu.  Parish really captures the flavor as though they were a seaside business.

  I have tried it 3 times.  I kept thinking it would work the kinks out but not.  I hate the whole plastic plate thing.  Small ones at that.  Food overpriced and not good.  6 Shrimp on a 12 in po boy served in paper with no sides.  The sandwich was all bread at 14.95.  Not impressed.  I will stick with the Cajun Steamer.

  Bad first impression. Got to see the place from just inside the doorway. It was packed and all I could think about was "I wonder if there's another dining room behind this one because its so small" & "how will we get to it?" The staff had to navigate sideways through the customers @ the large table in the middle of the room & the bar. A staff member kept looking @ us like we had a 3rd eye on our foreheads and nobody told us whether to seat ourselves or somebody would be with us ASAP....nothing. Very awkward and very poor first impression.
