If I could only give them negative stars. The hostess Carrie barely deigned it worthy to put our party of 6 on the list. She wouldn't even look us in the eye. She seated 3 tables before ours. Wouldn't let us combine 2 tables of 4 or pull up 2 chairs for 1 table of 4 after we had been standing/ waiting for 45m (only people in line).
Maybe bc we aren't locals. Maybe bc we weren't their preferred "type" of customer. Don't go there unless you want to wonder why Parker's discriminates.
I've been going to Parker's for years now. One of the nicest bar/restaurants in Auburn (with Swaby's taking the nicest bar crown since the reopened). I think I have ate most things from their menu and can say it is decent and tasty food.
If you are a food snob you will probably find fault in many of the dishes, but this isn't a fine dinning type of place. That isn't a knock, but simply what it is. With that in mind you should enjoy your trip there.
IMO, Parker's is really known for their wings, which are delicious. They have some really hot wings on their menu involving a dry rub. I forget the actual name, but I do remember being incapacitated eating then. Anyway you like your wings Parker's will be able to satisfy you.
For a pure bar it is nice and lively, but not like some of the other bars in town. There used to be a bar around the corner called Spirits which was kind of similar. Nicer bar to go to, live music, etc. I'd say an older, classier crowd than at other places. This owes to the Grille & Tap House angle.
If you live in Auburn you go here and enjoy it. If you are a tourist (not sure why you would end up in Auburn), but if you are then Parker's is a safe and great choice for a meal or a drink.
