If I could only give them negative stars. The hostess Carrie barely deigned it worthy to put our party of 6 on the list. She wouldn't even look us in the eye. She seated 3 tables before ours. Wouldn't let us combine 2 tables of 4 or pull up 2 chairs for 1 table of 4 after we had been standing/ waiting for 45m (only people in line).
Maybe bc we aren't locals. Maybe bc we weren't their preferred "type" of customer. Don't go there unless you want to wonder why Parker's discriminates.
I've been going to Parker's for years now. One of the nicest bar/restaurants in Auburn (with Swaby's taking the nicest bar crown since the reopened). I think I have ate most things from their menu and can say it is decent and tasty food.
If you are a food snob you will probably find fault in many of the dishes, but this isn't a fine dinning type of place. That isn't a knock, but simply what it is. With that in mind you should enjoy your trip there.
IMO, Parker's is really known for their wings, which are delicious. They have some really hot wings on their menu involving a dry rub. I forget the actual name, but I do remember being incapacitated eating then. Anyway you like your wings Parker's will be able to satisfy you.
For a pure bar it is nice and lively, but not like some of the other bars in town. There used to be a bar around the corner called Spirits which was kind of similar. Nicer bar to go to, live music, etc. I'd say an older, classier crowd than at other places. This owes to the Grille & Tap House angle.
If you live in Auburn you go here and enjoy it. If you are a tourist (not sure why you would end up in Auburn), but if you are then Parker's is a safe and great choice for a meal or a drink.
I've eaten here many, many times and it's normally reasonable. Not today. I ordered a margarita and I don't know what I received but it wasn't a margarita! Do not order drinks here besides beer or sodas because the bartenders do not know how to make even the simplest drinks! Two drinks an appetizer and two "lunch specials", a wrap and a salad, came to over $40! It will be a long time before I go back to Parker's again.
Review Source:I'm from out of town and I chose this place to bring my family who were meeting nearby based on it's good yelp reviews but it was a disappointing experience both in service, and food quality. There was some confusion about seating as one of the waitresses did not want us to use a 6 person table for only 4 and the high tops were too tall for my mom to climb into. We were waiting and then about to leave when another waitress decided to accomodate us at the empty table but we were treated awkwardly for using this spot even though the empty chairs were quickly needed by the next group coming in. Unfortunately I could not find a menu online ahead of time. For a "taphouse" the draft selection was limited. I had a clam roll filled with rubbery fried clams and a roll that broke in the bottom so it would no longer hold the contents. My mom had a chicken wrap and asked for no banana peppers but it came loaded with them anyway so she couldn't eat it. My husband and brother both had nice looking fish and chips. The sweet potato fries were good.
Review Source:Parker's is a bar/restaurant combo with a great atmosphere. The food was great, they have a huge selection, I ordered the Mexican burger (a burger with jalepanos and salsa) it was great!! I definitely recommend this place for anybody looking for a good place to eat with a laid back pub style atmosphere.
Review Source:Parker's came recommended to me by the tourism office. "I've never had a bad meal there," she said. I can see why. Although the service was definitely lacking, the food itself was extremely fresh. I had the grilled chicken on a salad with tomato balsamic on the side. This was a daily special, and I think they should add it to the main menu. It basically hit the spot. They gave it to me on romaine, my favorite, and the grilled chicken especially was fantastic. I would come back if in the area.
Review Source:I've spent many nights at Parkers. This is the best bar in Auburn. The prices are fair, the drinks are well made, they have one of the BEST BLOODY MARYs I've ever had and they stay open late. The staff leaves a little to be desired, but you can't win them all.
The bar food is great. Burgers, fries, salads...all of it is great. Go and eat and drink and you will be well taken care of.
