Cheap buffet for less than $10 a person (used to be $5.95 but now it's $9.95. still worth it)! The food is primarily American cuisine (lots of carbs yumm), but it's great quality and the environment makes you feel like you'e having a home-cooked meal. There's a noodle/pasta bar and an omelette bar, where they make it for you on the spot. The dessert area has pecan pie, apple pie, lemon bars, cheesecake, cookies, etc.
The service is good and the staff serves you the desserts and the food at the noodle/pasta and omelette bars. Sometimes you'll see people who stay for both lunch and dinner, while there's lines of hungry people watching them as they take their time eating so they can enjoy the cuisine for both lunch and dinner haha.
The Pauma casino is really a strange, strange place. Â I suppose that statement could be saved for a review of the overall premises, but the strangeness does rub off to their cafe so it's at least partially relevant. Â We were at the casino to watch a friend's band perform, and had some time to kill before the show so being hungry and not wanting to eat at the hotdog stand we went inside the cafe. Â I ordered the $16 filet mignon. Â I know I know, what was I expecting? Â Well here's the thing... for that amount of cash I usually can get a decent filet at a place like Outback. Â So channeling my inner gambler I figured I'd give it a shot. Â What I got (while edible) was chewy and flavorless. Â I think it's the first time I've put salt and pepper on a filet in a long time. Â The baked potato was more sour cream and butter than it was potato. Â The vegetable side was okay. Â Our server was nice, but very slow. Â I have definitely experienced better, but if you're at this casino and hungry you really don't have that many options. Good luck!

Go here for breakfast! The prices are very reasonable and you can get a good breakfast and a fantastic cup of coffee! The coffee honestly keeps me coming back for more. It must be the well water that they use! The servers say that the coffee machine that they use helps the coffee taste fresh! Put some cream into the cup of joe and absolute coffee heaven! Hook me up to the coffee machine and I'll be happy for the rest of the day! I don't drink too much coffee but when I come here I have at least 4 to 5 cups in one sitting!
They have weekly breakast specials from Monday to Sunday. The breakfast special is $3.95 and usually includes a bread choice and a cup of coffee or tea included. Some of the specials they have are things like cheese omelet (with hash browns), eggs benedict, bacon and eggs. How can you go wrong? The biscuits are extremely delicious and fluffy! Again, it must be the water they use!
They have lunch specials for seniors where the buffet with your players card is $5. I love that they do this for seniors who are on a fixed budget. But then again, gambling takes toll after meals! GOOD LUCK!
I've had the following items and absolutely love them!
Hot Turkey Sandwich
BLT (It's big, so split it if you cannot handle it)
Casino Club Sandwich ( A new favorite)
Burgers (Can't go wrong)
Salad buffet (good fixins, all that you need)
Servers are nice. We go there all the time so we know most of them and they are sweet and kind. Familiar faces that don't switch out all the time like other restaurants. They keep our coffee cups refilled and warm.
Go outside on the patio on a warm day! It's beautiful and very relaxing. Not many people know or attempt to go out, but we love it! We feel like we are in the backyard of a house. Plus you get some fresh air minus the cigarette smoke of the casino. So pleasant and charming outside!
The casino is very local, relaxed and no hyped up like Harrah's and Pala, which makes it unique. The fact that this casino is in the middle of an orange orchard, makes it super cool. I've also been pretty lucky at this casino.
