I grew up in Warsaw so I am no stranger to Penguin Point.
I recently revisited and had a pretty not-so-awesome time.

The service was pretty pathetic and the food was sub par.
I had remembered the tenderloins being huge and awesome, sadly this is no longer the case.
They aren't the huge piles of awesome they once were unfortunately.
Anyone could make just as good tenderloins at home with something bought from the freezer.

Don't go to Penguin Point unless you want to hate yourself both for the money spent and the shitty feeling after you're finished eating.

I think the food is great especially the fries and chicken sandwich. However the drive thru needs to get updated.

When I eat there,  the people seem nice but the food is just so so.  If you get the pork tenderloin,  you'll be happy but they put cabbage on it.  I prefer lettuce.  Their burgers are pretty small and nasty so stay away from them. Overall,  it's just ok and costs more than it should for the quality or quantity.

Fries are great, burgers are tasteless, chicken is okay. People rave about tenderloins. Service is slow and staff is hillbilly. Fries are worth the flaws.

When my grandmother used to live in Warsaw I'd find myself there at least once during the summer, and though my grandmother's cooking was the best I always got to go to Penguin Point at least once during the summer to get a tenderloin sandwich.  If we hadn't stopped for one during our stay we always had one last chance as we drove toward the highway on Old 30.  The blinking lights of Penguin Point would always draw us in.  This was the first place I'd ever tried a tenderloin sandwich.  For some reason they weren't common in Wisconsin, though you can now find them at Culver's.  But getting a tenderloin sandwich in Indiana when I was a kid was a special treat, something that seemed like a regional specialty that I could brag about to my friends in school.

In retrospect the tenderloin at Penguin Point wasn't even close to the best - the Flagpole was head and shoulders above in terms of quality and size.  But there's something about a tenderloin with the shredded cole slaw that typified Indiana summers for me.  The last time I was in Warsaw was several years ago as we helped my grandmother move up to Wisconsin.  We had loaded the truck and packed the cars and were about ready to leave when my father drove up with a bag of Penguin Point tenderloins.  It was a good send-off to Warsaw.
