The Pickle Barrel

I will have to say that's it is pretty good seafood being this far from the ocean. They have a seafood buffet, but we decided to just share a seafood platter. The catfish was great, but the shrimp and the stuffed crab was the best. WeWe will return.

First time visit for us.   A local told us that this place has very good food.  The catfish was excellent, crispy and well seasoned.  The coleslaw was delicious and the hushpuppies were some of the best ever!  I ordered the baked sweet potato, but a regular potato arrived.  The staff eventually came up with a sweet potato.  
The wife ordered a 10 oz ribeye medium rare.  It came out spread about the plate.  I was worried it would be thin and overdone.  Suprise, it was only slightly overdone and a very nice taste and texture.  Because the coleslaw was so delicous, it really should be on the salad bar along side the macaroni and potato salads.

All in all, a very good place, with  good food at a decent price.  Will come here again
