Went in here last weekend. Had a couple drinks, but did not eat. I noticed a very nice, thorough, and high-end liquor selection, but stuck to the local brews.
The bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. I don't remember his name, but if it's the Adam guy everyone else is saying was grumpy, he seemed super cool to me. Â He was actually trying to close down, but chatted with us and chilled out, never made us feel like he was rushing to get out the door. He informed us that it is actually the one place at the entire resort that is independently owned.
I will gladly go back and support them the next time I'm in the area.
We fell in love with Piersons last year and were looking forward to visiting it again this year. The food was fantastic and the staff super friendly.
I have one complaint though. They have somewhat of a captive clientele. People staying ay Boyne are going to look for dinning experiences at Boyne. And Boyne attracts a lot of families. So I thought their kid's meals could be priced a little more friendly for families on a budget.
This trip I tried two of the other bars at Boyne and decided that Piersons is the one!
Went on a golf trip with some buddies and went here after a rainy day. They had a decent beer list and menu, thought the menu wasn't very extensive. I got the five layer nachos and French dip sandwich. The dip was good but the chips were kinda stale or overlooked maybe. The sandwich was delicious. Fries were good but had to pay extra to upgrade from chips. Biggest problem was the price. I paid over $10 for each of my plates which would be ok for fine dining but not pub food.
Review Source:Here with my husband discussing yelp and decided to write a review. Â I literally lol'ed at the previous reviews because I immediately recognized that Adam was the same bartender here tonight, we've been referring to him ad "the angry bartender" all night!
I had the blueberry mojito drink special made by the angry bartender, and it's nothing less than amazing. Â My chicken avocado sandwich was good, my husbands Asian style Reuben sandwich was delicious, as was the artichoke dip! Â
Turn that frown upside down, Adam! :)
So I have been coming to this resort for my entire life, dramatic I know.
This establishment has some of the best food on the property, overall atmosphere excellent, bar tender Adam, jerk! Â He has been here for 4 plus years, and is never polite or welcoming.
I wish he would make the establishment more inviting, I mean this location was a Candy Store for more than 20 years, so tons of good vibes and memories. If I want horrible rude service from a bar tender I'll frequent another establishment, but he has got to step it up.
