Pines Restaurant & Banquet Facility

We've been here several times, every experience positive, no idea why I haven't reviewed them prior to now.
This place is not readily found, so this was a bike-ride day, and even with detailed directions written out, it required some backtracking and regrouping to find..  (Note to Googlemaps, its BACK Amish Rd, not Amish Rd!!!!)  
They are  regulars in the Entertainment books/Restaurant.com/Groupon type deals, so take a gander, 'cause e.g. the Entertainment deal is for $12 off a meal when another is purchased.
It's a country club restaurant so the food is better-than-pub-grub.
Steeled by our coupon, we both ordered the Walleye, the lady with garlic mashed potatoes, and I got the onion rings.  
A nice side salad was the precursor, and we both got iced tea, she raspberry flavored and me straight-up, like John Wayne!
The salad was an uptick from standard iceburg fare with fresh baby mixed greens and the standard cukes, tomatoes, onion, croutons.
The house made dressings were quite good.
The walleye was perfectly done, the lady said the spuds were good and the real thing, my onion rings screamed hand-battered, cut from the equator of huge Vidalia's and beautiffully fried, although there was just enough time from fryer to table, that combined with the steady spring breeze, they were a bit cool, and hence wouldn't hold salt, but quite tasty.  
Piping hot they would rank among the best I've had.
The iced tea was fine, and the service was top-shelf, and true to form, although the hour might have had an impact, (2 or 3 PM), there was nary a golfer or tourist sharing the entire large patio with us.  
The dining room was also vacant except for a wedding party getting photos.
I guess out here in cow country, the locals think Amish-style dining, not faux haute cuisine.
I would pick this spot, hands down over anywhere else at which I've dined within 15 miles.
