Pinkies Country Cafe

Pinkies!  Awesome!  Stopped by on a short road trip to Madrid from ABQ.  Had a breakfast burrito with red sauce.  As good as my friend described, even better actually.  Everything is homemade so its hard to go wrong.  Yes the decor is all pink (its Pinkie's favorite color) and everything is mismatched.  It adds to the charm as a one woman business and not some corporate chain.  Place is clean, bathrooms are clean.  Strike up a chat with Pinkie herself, she's a riot and has a very very cute dog.

Not as good as they have always been at various fairs and events. The frito pie burrito is what I've always ordered, but this time had gross lettuce, dry tortilla, and the other toppings weren't fresh either.  Though you have to wait much longer for your food in the cafe. Bad decor - all the pink is fine, but the unmatched random items shouldn't go in such a small place. No soda fountain. Long drive from town in hopes of what you'd get in the past.

Delicious food!  Breakfast burritos and regular burritos are huge and delicious smothered in green.  Green chile chicken enchiladas are great also.  All the homemade desserts are just as amazing. Cannot go wrong at Pinkies.
