Stopped for lunch on a workday. Place was completely empty except for one lone guy at the bar. The menu looked good, and when we (eventually) got our food it was okay... but the service was so terrible. Surly, slow... there was no one else in there! Not a single other lunch eating person. Maybe they had to run out and buy ingredients because they were so thrown off by four patrons stopping by during the lunch hour. Not likely to attempt again, which is a shame, because this end of University needs more palatable lunch options.
Review Source:Came by the other day for food and drinks. Their menu was small and consisted of mostly bar-type foods. We ordered the baked wings and sliders. The food was mediocre at best. The Manhattan I ordered was okay too, a bit strong in the taste of the Bourbon.
They do have a stage with live music playing, but since we arrived at 8 pm on a Friday night, the bar was relatively empty.
I get it; you want to be a hipster joint and play cult movies on your screen while the DJ blasts the most recent Grimes single. That's fine and good, but for the love of all that's social, regulate your sound system. This bar has some potential, and it is fairly priced in its drinks. I just wish that I could have a conversation with my friends without blowing out my vocal cords by trying to talk over the ridiculously loud music.
Review Source:Good food, craft beers and mustaches set this place apart from the other bars.
Who I'd take here: Friends for drinking. Depending on the DJ, the music may be too eclectic to dance.
Music and Entertainment Quality: 2
They play a lot of videos of intense things that are sometimes juxtaposed to what music they're playing (Last time I was there they played Barefoot Gen, which was kind of sobering). It's an interesting experience. Â If you were taking a date here you guys might be able to dance, depending on the DJ. To be honest I come here to drink and eat their great food, but people who want to dance may dislike their taste in music.
-1 intense, eclectic.
Drink/Food Quality: 6
The bartenders do you right; we've seen him working downtown at another bar before so he's experienced. They also have a very good selection of craft beers: Stone, Oskar blues, etc. They get points for going out of their way to do this. This place also serves great food late night. Personally, I recommend the wings. The food seemed creative and beyond what you'd expect from a bar late night.
+1 extensive beer selection. +1 good, friendly staff. +1 great food.
Location, Cleanliness and Ambiance: 5
This place is in the Riverside micro bar scene, which is a good thing, since there is lots of parking. The place is new and thus clean, I'm comfortable using the restroom here. There are some booths in the back if you want to just sit and chat that are far enough away from the music that you can hear your friends. As of writing this review, this place is usually only a moderate to light amount of people at this bar. I prefer this--versus Mario's where you can't even walk--so this may impact your decision to go here. Â
+1 clean. +1 centrally located to other bars.
How I rate: I have 3 categories, and each category starts at 3 points. For each item where I am impressed, they get 1 point; disappointed, lose one point.

So where do I begin, I went to this place on Saturday 9, 2013, I didn't go inside because I recently had to change my last name because I got married ,so when i showed the guy in the front my ID he said i couldn't go in because my ID had a  punched hole in it but i did have a paper stating who i was and all that from the DMV (I am sure you know what I am talking about) so I show him that, and he says really rudely that he can't except that and I ask him are you sure because before we came here we went to Dave and Busters and another bar before this and they both took it with out hesitating, then he said well there not supposed to do that blah blah, still being rude, I don't get what that guys problem is, why he had to be so rude, he could have just said sorry i can't do anything politely, but to be honest that place looked like it was filled with a bunch of hipster a**holes like they deserve the world handed to them on a platter, so I don't see the point of giving these people a second chance and from all the other reviews I see, its not worth ruining my night with there rude personality's.
Review Source:Walked into a huge space with very little decor, some art pieces on the wall and A scanner darkly playing from a projector, blinding me in my eye at times. Not very busy so it was nice that I could order drinks right away, loved that they have a decent selections of beers including Oskar blues brewery, Stone brewery etc. Ordered shots also and the drinks were priced fairly. I was starving so I ordered the bacon wrapped mini dogs which came out quickly. The mini dogs were just okay ,super tiny and what I felt was not worth $8. The service was good , as far as bars downtown go I dont know about this place, I think the other places are a lot more fun to drink and hang out in personally.
Review Source:Stopped by this small bar, seems like its open for business but a work in progress. The place is dimly lit, and has an interesting projector of animated movies playing on the walls. As for the service it's OK, but the stools are from walmart and not comfortable. I think they need some assistance in deciding what they plan on being. A dive bar, hipster bar or just plan bar. Hopefully they'll get it together and I'll have another place to hang out.
