I visited Blue Mountain Beer with my friend who purchased a Beer/Hot Dog Combo via Groupon. After reading the reviews I was eager to accompany her as I do enjoy a good Craft Beer and Hot Dog! Sadly, Blue Mountain Beer had neither. What a deception. The place itself appeared run down, small and shabby. The "Beer Garden" is deceitful; an overgrown side yard in desperate need of attention decorated with old withered picnic tables.
The service was absurd. The Hot Dog/Beer Combo my friend had purchased did not exist. She was given many different reasons as to why the Groupon offer could not be fulfilled, none of which seemed valid and contributed to our feeling of immense awkwardness. (For those unfamiliar with Groupon it is a website utilized by companies to attract new business by offering  pre-paid specials. In this case, an offer Blue Mountain created, collected on, and could not deliver on.) Highly unprofessional since the only employee I saw claimed to be the owner. YIKES!
We reluctantly stayed opting to give the establishment a chance to impress us with the beer selection. Alas.... that was not the case. The Beer selection was humorous. Blue Mountain "Beer" had only 1 beer on tap and no more than 4 bottled beer choices. How astonishing! Most patrons have more options at home, which is where I had wish I stayed.
This place was the biggest disappointment -we read all the great reviews how nice the owner is and how well people are treated , the great german beer and attmosphere -Well  we felt insulted .we were treated very rudly and as for german -germany does not only consist of munich and octoberfest -no the place was nothing german extremly unfriendly the german sausage -what a skinny" 99 cent " looking and tasting hotdog .In all fairness the beer tasted good.  We heard the ownership recently changed -perhaps thats the problem?  We would not go back to many other great places out there where  you can get great beer and -oh what a concept- be treated well  also !
