Hudston theatre was something of a feat
Soon as I stepped in, I was on the Gotham streets
Metal fixtures and raised platforms to dance
Felt like dubsteppin' at burning man
The main room though felt like a banquet hall
Felt like prom from '03 fall
Carpet to cover most of the floor?
I ended up dancing up near the door
Couldn't believe there was a place like this
A rave hall in a strip mall, can this exist?
Thought that the Gotham portion was pretty damn sick
But wouldn't come back cause too many kids
Can't blame the venue though for party that is thrown
So I'll give the Hudson a 2 star on its own
Worth a try if you've never been
Pretty bad tho when the bathrooms floodin'
**Overall a pretty neat idea to have a 5,000 person capacity venue that's pretty much made full time for raves and big events. Â However, it definitely does not support that capacity w/ the bathrooms. Â Hella nasty.**
**Free parking is pretty sweet though, and I never had any security guard run-ins**
Best rave venue in the last 5 years.
I personally think the Hudson / Gothem is an amazing place. Â
Ravers everywhere! Â The line streches all the way to Redlands sometimes...the smoking area outside is sometimes more crowded than inside. Â Pony beads everywhere. Â
I am only reviewing the Hudson on the raves I have been to there...I have been to a ton here. Â I believe the first one here was Cyberton by AMS in 2006. Â I remember a friend telling me that there was a new venue that can hold 5000 people, all ages till 4 or 5am...completely legal. Â
I thought he was clinically insane. Â
And here we are years later...I guess I was wrong. Â
For once...lol.
This location is right off the freeway...good on and off access for when you get there and when you leave at night. Â There is tons of free parking in the private lot that surrounds the venue. Â (No one charging you 20 bucks to park) Â They have 5 different rooms big and small that can have different music. Â (The room towards the back can be split)
I have always had good experiences with security...there have been a few times when people got out of hand and they took care of it. Â They must have been doing a good enough job since the Hudson has been going as a rave venue for like 3 or 4 years now.
Yeah the all-ages thing sometimes really sucks but its better than having those kids at some random abandoned warehouse. Â
I have even been to parties where they had a hip-hop show going on the Gothem side and a rave on the other side and there were no problems.
No matter what you think about the clientele or the parties themselves its nice to have a nice, legal venue that you can count on.
Thump thump thump thump thump....
Partying in San Bernardino...if you are gonna do it you might as well do it right.
