We've been here a few times since moving to town and have been more impressed with each trip. Tonight we went with The Dixie Queen which is a BBQ braised chicken pizza with pickled onions and cured bacon on a BBQ sauce base. We added fresh jalapeños to it and it was amazing! It put CPK's BBQ Chicken Pizza to shame. Next time you're in town do yourself a favor and stop by this place for a little slice of heaven.
Review Source:The pizza is good but not great. I have come here a couple times and it seems to be kind of hit or miss. Sometimes the sauce is gritty and kind of pasty like it came from a can, other times it is great. The service and speed can be really hit or miss too even if it's not that busy. All in all a good place for a beer and a slice, but it nothing out of this world.
Review Source:Three words: Droppin' Beats Calzone.
You wouldn't think nature's candy would be good in calzone form, but with arugula, goat cheese, pesto, and balsamic glaze, it's a combination that'll move Heaven above you and Earth under your feet.
I also had the Mediterranean Nachos. Worth trying.
I have been so looking forward to dinner there. Â Beer-EXCELLENT; Salads-I'm picky and theirs was the BEST I"VE HAD in a restaurant in a looooooong time; People-SUPER NICE; atmosphere-LOVE IT! Â Now the downside...The pizza, while flavorful (good tasting crust) was limp and sodden. Â I thought the toppings tasted very good but without a supporting crust...like a gut-bomb. Â I will go back & I will recommend to people (with reservations on the Za). I love their menu & beverage selections. Â Very creative.
I would have just written this email to them directly so they could look at what might have been the problem but there was no contact email address on their site.
I love going and getting a pizza and a beer here. The food is always amazing, love the omnivore pizza. The problem comes in with the service. While all the employees are incredibly friendly, the place always seems to be in chaos. We went there on a Monday and there was only one person working the bar and serving. This was not a big problem this time but if it gets busier it will be a reason not to go.
Review Source:The food was ok. Â The wait was long.
When we ordered, my friend made about 4 changes to her sandwich and asked for wheat bread.  I asked the mustard and mayonnaise be left off of my sandwich and  for white bread.
After a long wait, the food comes out. Â White and wheat mixed up and mayonnaise on my sandwich. The server knew it, she said something like, "oh, they put the mayo on yours," as she put it down. Â Really, why bring it if it's wrong and you know it? Â Probably because we weren't going to wait another 30 minutes for another sandwich. Â
Sigh. Â
It was tasty, though.
