The food was average, as always is the case with these types of pizza joints. I'm more disturbed by the manner in which this particular store bamboozled me for a $2.99 bottle of soda (I kid you not).
I bought their big meal pizza box for $19.99 which came with 2 squared pizzas, Chicken Alfredo pasta, bread sticks, and a free 2 liter of soda. Normally, these online deals require you to input all the goods before the deal/discount is applied. Common sense right? Well it applied the $19.99 coupon without adding the free 2 liter soda. I picked my order up and proceeded to confirm with the employee (Jessica) that my order comes with a free 2 liter. She went on to tell me "No" because I did not add it to my order online when I initially placed my order. I was pretty surprised and asked her why it accepted my order if I didn't fulfill all the requirements of the deal? She said she had no idea. At this point I'm thinking this is something that could be fixed right there with an override, not surprisingly Jessica told me it couldn't and that I was pretty much SOL (not in those terms). Instantly annoyed at the deceptive practices I told her to just give me the receipt to sign and I will be more than happy to take it up with corporate (she blames the website). To Jessica's credit she did ask if I wanted to speak to a manager, I informed her I will handle it through other means. The thing that lead me to believe that this was the store's deceptive practice was Jessica went on to repeatedly ask me if I wanted to add (buy) a bottle of soda to my order. Why on earth would I want to give more money to a company who utilizes such deceptive practices?
Having managed a rival pizza joint in my hometown I'm keenly aware that when pizza joints like these are struggling the owners hate honoring corporate coupons that in theory are supposed to increase revenue but in reality when struggling, it decreases the overall profit for that particular sale. This of course is just a theory and really the only one I could come up with for why on earth they would honor everything else in the online coupon except the free item. I will probably stick with a more reputable pizza place next time and not be suckered in by a fledgeling business trying to save every dime they can by defrauding customers.
Ordering online was easy. Â People at the store during pickup were sitting outside and seemed like they did not care of the customers with orders waiting to be picked up. Â No sauce included with the stuffed crust pizza or with the hot wings. Â The food was good. Â It could have been better with dipping sauce.
