Pizza King

It was hard to walk into this place without feeling like an uppity California snob. Coin-operated TV sets at each table? A call-in ordering system? Booths that completely cut you off from the outside world? A freakin' train that brings your drinks? It's all pretty kitschy..........but somehow I ended up loving it.

I'd had Pizza King take-out before, so I knew the food was pretty good for the price. However, the restaurant part was definitely different from anything I'm used to and carried a bit of nostalgia with it as well.

4 stars........the sincerity was just too much.

Worst pizza I've ever had in my entire life. Got a large thin crust half cheese, half sausage. What got delivered was a mushy mess, the sausage was like ground up paste on the top of the pizza, and the crust was so soggy I couldn't even tell where the crust stopped and the toppings started, they all kind of mixed together. We ate half the pizza, as much as we could stomach, and left the rest- it was so horrible we didn't even want the leftovers. Seriously, a Jacks pizza from Walmart is more appetizing. The pizza reminds me of the mess you end up with if you microwave left over pizza.

The only reason I didn't give this place 1 star, is it's kinda fun. At this particular location (Pizza king is a chain in the area) your drinks get delivered on a little electric train to your table, so the kids liked that. But beyond that, I found the food completely horrible.
