Pleasant Grove General Store & Cafe

I am fortunate to work around the way from this great little cafe.  This is a family run place that serves delicious food.  It is open for breakfast and lunch, I've been eating lunch here in a weekly basis for the past few months.  I always get the mexican food, even though a lot of the other patrons order burgers and fries.  The burritos, tamales, tacos and enchiladas are good, not exceptional; the albondigas (meatball soup) is incredible--I always order it if it's on the menu.  They have other specialties I've yet to try and I am looking forward to this.

The family that runs the Pleasant Grove General Store and Cafe are really friendly.  They grow most of the ingredients that go into the tasty homemade salsas they serve.  It's worth the trip to this little gem in the rice fields north of Sacramento.
