Awesome burgers. They aren't kidding with the 100% Angus Beef. Ordered mine medium and it was perfect. All the fixin's - tomato, lettuce, onion, cheese - perfectly seared and on a fresh, durable bun. Fries were crispy and golden, perfectly cooked.
Service was fast and friendly. This is a great stop for anyone heading to or from Devils Tower.
Surprisingly decent food for the middle of nowhere. If you're a burger fan, you'll be good to go: one of my friends got the bison burger and the other got the elk burger. Â Both were very happy. Â I got a chef's salad minus the meat--that was the nearest I could get to a vegetarian entree--but I was hungry enough I probably could have licked the paint off the walls (even if it smelled a little like cigarette smoke) so the salad tasted great. Â This is obviously not their specialty, however. Â
If you choose to get an appetizer, be forewarned: Â I got the "sweet potato barrels" (pretty much little sweet potato "tots") and the order had at least 30 tots. (These were not as good as I'd hoped: Â I love sweet potato fries, but these seemed overly sweet.) Â It was more than I could handle on my own, and I didn't get much help from my friends, who had piles of their own french fries to accompany the massive burgers. Â Ask how big before you order! Â
Also, don't be intimidated when you walk in: you will be right on top of a table. Â There are a couple of rooms in back (though one is 21+) where you can find extra, more private, tables.
Hamburger was made in the old fashion way, excellent. Â I had the bison burger, again excellent. Â The fries were some of the best I've ever had. Â If you leave this place hungary then you can't be filled up.
Only reason I gave it a 4-star was the price. Â Realize quality comes at a price, and the food was quality. Â I will come back next time I'm in the area.
