I was driving through Missouri on a road trip, and I decided to try this place, mostly because it was between Subway or this place. I decided to try something different this time. As soon as I walked in the place smelled like a combination of a dirty diaper and smoke, so I went out on the patio to sit. I waited 15 minutes to get greeted and finally got menu's. It was mostly drinking food, quick order type stuff. I ordered a cheeseburger , the burger was ok, very basic, no flavor. The salad was wilted, shrimp was full of turds. Never got refills on our drinks and I had to ask for the check. When the check came she was trying to stand over my shoulder when I was filling out the tip. I could go on and on about other things but just thinking about it makes me want to vomit. This place needs to be on the Gordon Ramsey show where he goes around the US and shows people how to run a real pub. Don't ever eat here, in fact skip the town of Fulton , MO because I got bad service at the Subway and the gas station.

The Post Office Bar & Grill was terrible. This was my first time there and the manager made it very clear that he did not want any return customers. Â The place had a bad odor. Â The manager was rude and the service was horrible. Â When I told the manager that I could not eat the sandwich because it was too hard to bite. He told me that I could not order anything else unless I paid for both the new meal and the meal I could not eat. Â He said he did not have money to waste meals. Â
What a way to make a first impression. Â He doesn't have money to waste meals, but if the customer service does not improve, he won't have money to make meals either.
The Post Office has the potential to be a really cool sports bar. The building, a real post office in it's former life, has two large rooms. The original lobby had a pool table and space to hang out, but lacked any warmth. The main room, what would have been the mail sorting room had a long bar (where we sat) plus a bunch of tables and chairs.
The reason I say that this place could be so much more is because there is some really cool architecture, which they completely covered up with TVs placed in the wrong spots. I guess the local residents don't care, but I think this place could look cool.
It's really smokey, and for someone who has gotten very used to the smoke-free bars in St. Louis, it was enough to keep me from going back.
I can't speak to the food, but I'm guessing it has standard bar food. The beer was cold and they had a typical selection on tap, and the bartender was attentive enough.
If you are into smokey dive sports bars, it's up your alley. If not, you might look for another option.
