We consider ourselves so fortunate to be able to eat at the Pottbelly a couple times a month.  We were recently treated to a blackened redfish and roast Cornish game hen special for the night we visited. Each was served with a creative starch and vegetable.  My vegetables were marinated in a lively green curry sauce! Our salad was fresh and crisp and the dressing was homemade.  My husband enjoyed the fried oysters as appertif, which were done to perfection-plump and juicy inside and crispy outside.

Not only does the management of the Potbelly have an artist in the back of the house, but the host in the front of the house welcomes each guest and often shows up at the table with your favorite drink before you even order!  The wait staff is knowledgeable and fun.

We would recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates good food and drink, enjoys a crackling fireplace, and seeks mountain-style hospitality!

After reading the reviews, we thought it would be a fun place to go for an early dinner. We arrived into the parking lot and were immediately treated to the  "local flavor" a pregnant women was smoking, as we walked in.

We went to the bar for a beer and the regulars made it abundantly clear that we were not welcome, swearing and talking about fighting with outsiders. It did appear that they had lost the fight or their toothbrushes by the amount of teeth that were missing.

The only thing missing was a banjo and them asking me to squeal like a pig. Watch the movie Deliverance to understand what visiting the Potbelly is like.

I gave it one star  because I couldn't give it lower. The food was mediocre at best, but  the "flavor" of the locals ruined the meal. I recommend this restaurant, if you are trying to impress your cousin on a first date.

The Potbelly is one of the few restaurant options in the area. They serve lunch and dinner and have a full bar. The food is well prepared and the wait staff is professional and friendly. We eat here often, as there are no decent options in the Upper Poudre Canyon.
