I've been to Prime Quarter multiple times. Â The first thing you'll notice upon entering the restaurant is this amazing smell of burning Kingsford charcoal. Â I love the smell of charcoal, as it takes me back to happy times.
The next thing you'll notice is the decor. Â When you walk through that door, you've just entered a time machine and you are transported back to 1985. Â While some people consider the decor "dated," I think of it as unique and actually enjoy it.
Take a seat and let the waitress know what you're going to order. Â My wife is not a fan of steak, but I am. Â So when we come, I order steak (which includes the salad bar) and she just orders the salad bar - which is probably the best salad bar in Janesville. Â One helpful hint is that the cost to order 1 steak + 1 salad bar is more expensive than ordering the "share a steak" option. Â So even though my wife does not eat steak, we get the share a steak option and save about $2 vs. her ordering the salad bar ala carte.
I've never come here with a large group of people, but if I did, grilling my own steaks would make for an interesting experience. Â Instead, I have always paid the extra fee to have the chef cook the steak for me. Â It just doesn't seem right to leave my wife at the table while I go cook my dinner.
All in all, I enjoy this restaurant very much and will continue to patronize it.
