Primo Burgers

Surprisingly good.  Big food.  We had a group that stopped on the way and from Mammoth to eat here and was not disappointed.

Not the nicest looking place and the bathrooms that are outside need some work, but the food here is VERY good.  Order at the window and have a seat - they'll deliver to your table.  

Pastrami  - thickest and meatist I've had in a long time.  Rivals Johhnie's in LA.  

Asada Quesadilla - on a 14" tortilla - huge and full -

Burritos - big big big.  Enough for two or even three.

Asada salad, Taller than it is wide (8x10) - another HUGE.

Overall, IMHO the best place in Mojave - grab a shake - deepish!

Worst steak we've had. Took a while to get a "ribeye" but it's more like a month old tenderloin. Place is dirty, tables untidy.  Sorry Tehachapi is a better alternative 30mins away.

Went here for an 8 PM dinner with some coworkers a couple of years ago.  The whole place was lit up, sign lit out front, and the doors unlocked.  Walked in, waited at the order window, and the lady sweeping the kitchen floor stared at me and said that they were closed already.  I wondered "WTF???" and thought that maybe they should've turned the sign and lights off and locked the door if they were closed.  That was the first and last time that I went to Primo Burgers in the slowly dying town of Mojave!
