P'Sghetti's is a casual Italian restaurant serving lunch & dinner (takeout or dine-in), located in a quiet strip plaza (next to the Guilderland Center Post Office) across the road from Guilderland High. The place has a dedicated takeout counter and also separate entrance for the full service dining room, which is spacious with ample table seating and big arch glass windows.
The takeout menu and dining menu are similar with more dinner offerings on the dining menu. The menu offerings include pizza, salads, calzones, subs, wings, Italian appetizers, and Italian dinners (with salad & bread). The prices are fair, most entrees are $10-$17, subs $6.95-$7.95 and a whole 16" pizza starts at $11.
After shopping at  Crossgates on the other side of Guilderland, I was getting hungry and searching for places for dinner. Finally, after seeing an ad for P'Sghetti's in the local town paper and checking out the website for a $5 discount for dining in at P'Sghetti's,  I decided to head over here for dinner, about a 15 minute drive from Crossgates. The place was very quiet with no customers in sight, but the place was open.
I entered the takeout area first to look at a menu and informed the staff I wanted to dine-in. I exited the takeout area and reentered the restaurant into the full service dining room, which was unlocked for me. I was seated next to the bright window, with the rays of sunlight shining over, but not directly onto the table. I was also given the option to order anything off the takeout menu if I wished.
For dinner, I ordered the Chicken/Sausage Cacciatore ($14) which included salad & bread. The salad was served on a glass plate with fresh romaine lettuce, tomato slices, carrots, red onions, cucumbers, black olives, and dressing on the side (the bleu cheese dressing had thick chunks of gorgonzola cheese). The small loaf of soft bread was served hot. The very hot dinner entree was a good sized portion served in a big bowl plate. While the presentation of the food looked thrown together, the food was quite tasty and filling. This dish had tender grilled boneless chicken breasts, soft chunks of Italian sausages, peppers (green & red), onions, and mushroom slices in a sherry marinara sauce, served on fettuccine cooked just right. I finished my food, but unfortunately I did not save room for dessert (creme brulee, cheesecake). The $5 web discount was honored and the total check for dinner with an ice water came out to $9.72 with tax and before tip.
The service was very friendly and attentive during my visit to P'Sghetti's. The food was served in timely order and my ice water glass was kept full. I was told they have been relying on word of mouth and the place has been busier on some nights. Though the place was empty on a Saturday night around 6:30 PM (location seems isolated from the rest of town), I was able to enjoy a quiet relaxing and tasty dinner at a great price!
