Okay, so I recently moved to Wickliffe and decided to give this place another shot since they are right down the street. In the mail I received something saying they were under new management and had new menu items and a taco special on Tuesdays for $2. So we headed down there for the cheap tacos to give it a shot. When we walked in we should've known it was the same old Purple Sham that we had been to before and weren't so happy with in the past. We decided since we were there already to check it out. We saw that the "new" menu was just items that had been crossed out and nothing new or noteworthy crossed our eye. So we decided on the taco special for the night. We were told by the waitress that there was a minimum of 3 taco's and they were only hardshell. With some digging we realized that they were $2 each and you had to buy $6 worth, now I've used better judgement in the past but I decided to go for it to give them a shot and see if they were really $6 worthy. He decided on a burger and for once he was right :)  His burger looked good but he said it was nothing to write home about. And my tacos, wow, underseasoned, greasy, fatty,  and nothing that I couldn't have gotten at taco bell. Actually I've had better from the ol' drivethrough. Needless to say we will not be back, the Sham deserves to be Slammed because  of their sneaking marketing and same old lame service, food, and atmosphere. You can tell the staff was unhappy because they were sitting just a few booths away complaining about management and other staff members as if we couldn't hear them. I had high hopes but will stay out of that area for sure.

Sign says new mgmnt (4 months ago) and new menu. Menu seems to contain same food as it did before. Service was horrible. Table of 6 behind us walked out after ordering and waiting....and waiting. We almost walked out.  Our waitress excelled at blowing bubbles with her blue gum.  Food was good- wait staff and kitchen were very slow on a Sunday evening. Colby jack cheese was on the menu- but waitress told me I couldn't order it because there wasn't a key for it on her computer. Sadly she struggled with the idea of walking back to the kitchen....I'm guessing it will be under new mgmnt again soon. Cross this one off the list of dining options in Willowick.

Also a sex act, the Purple Shamrock in Willowick is A-OK in my book.

The wings are pretty darn tasty.
    The drinks are strong.
The bartenders are sweet as pie.

There's definitely a large population of meat-heads, tools and hook-nastys, but just drink more and it will all be OK.

Been here several times and have never had a good experience. Place is dirty and staff unfriendly.

Went here for saint patty's day to have a drink or two with a friend. Very scantly clad waitresses. Nice music selection- Bob Dillon to Flogging Molly. This is a fun bar but the prices were pretty steep for the quality. The place had an outdoor patio, 8 flat-screens, and a jukebox, but best of all an arcade claw machine!

There was another claw machine at the door, that was unique. Check out my picture of the lobster claw machine. If you catch one they cook it for you apparently. It was something I'd never really seen before! The place was a little "divey." warranting a spot on the list I placed it with.

In regards to kids, I went here around 4pm. The place had tons of youngsters in it! So if you're a family and want to take your children to a bar like the one described above it seems ok here! They were running around like wild little Scottish beasts! All and all, I had a good time here, but I wasn't enamored.

Boy, I really though about what I wanted to write before reading Stefanie's review and damn if she didn't steal my thoughts.  I recently visited The Shamrock (twice in the last 2 weeks) and was pleasantly surprised by the 'adorable' bartenders, Ty and the taller blonde that I always forget her name....sorry ;)

Recently I went for a quick cocktail, snack, and to watch the NFL playoffs with 2 friends.  We got the garlic Parmesan hot wings and pepperoni pizza.  Other then me wanting the wings a little hotter, the size, flavor, and quality of the wings blew me away.  They were perfectly cooked and just fantastic.  Probably now 3rd or 4th on my best wings list.

The pizza was also terrific.  The flavor of the sauce and the crispiness of the pepperonis were perfect on the not overly crisp pizza crust.  I will definitely come back for the exact same thing.

Drinks were cheap for tall rum and diets, and as stated by Stef, nice and stiff, just like she likes them ;)......drinks that is.

The only thing keeping this place for getting higher stars is the layout and look.  It's almost depressing going into this place, very uninviting.  Really need to get the Ground Round look out of there.

There are pool tables, lots of TV's, juke, and  'butt hut' for you smokers.

Not much to be said about this Purple Sham location.

Located where the old Ground Round used to be. It's a pretty large space. I used to come often as a kid when it was still the Ground Round. Don't worry, the scary hobo clown is gone!

Their food is decent for bar food which is why I'm giving 3 stars. I visit occasionally on wing nights.

There are some really adorable bartenders that make some strong cocktails
-- one of the only saving graces here.

So basically -- great service, cute bartenders, crappy atmosphere. This bar could be on the "my version of hell" list.
