Quality Inn of New Stanton

One of the worst hotels I've stayed in, ever.

First, the setup is totally strange. It's on a divided road, so it's hard to enter the place from the main road if you're traveling east. The "front" desk is on the side of the building, and not accessible on foot if you park in the front lot.

The staff was rude on the phone. When I asked for a room and told them I would be there in less than 15 min, the woman still wanted all my information even though I told her I'd be right there and I wasn't the one paying for the room. When we got there, there was some obvious manager coaching going on for the clerk.

The hotel lobby (can we even call it that?) smells terrible, and the odor in our room was much, much worse. It smelled strongly like a cat box, and was extremely damp inside. I saw mold on the walls above the shower, in the bathroom fan vent (and that was incredibly dirty, might not have been cleaned or the filter changed for years), all along the A/C unit vent (let's not turn that on...), and inside the fridge, which for some reason was turned off. Our soap bar had a long blonde hair on it. And nobody in the room has long or blonde hair...

The continental breakfast was also horrible. The coffee was very weak, and the waffle iron didn't run long enough, so the waffle was undercooked when the alarm went off.

The mold and the scent were unbearable, and I honestly would recommend that you go just about anywhere else.

This hotel is the dirtiest hotel that I have ever stayed in.  The tile in the shower was covered in mold. The shower curtain was covered half way up with mold and mildew. The carpet was filthly.  We went in a back entrance closer to our room and had to hold our breath until we reached the hallway because it smelled like raw sewage.  My son had the waffles for breakfast, the mix must have been spoiled as he became very ill with vomitting,  The smell of mold and mildew is everywhere. They advertise a pool.  It is empty and the walls are peeling so really has not been in service for a very long time.  Should not have the Quality in name.
