Kremmling, Colorado is pretty much a one-horse town, and I stopped at the Quarter Circle because I suspected the rest of the road on to Steamboat Springs would be lacking in provisions (I was right).
The Quarter Circle was a nice choice, especially given that it was completely random. Â The waitress was very nice--chatty and friendly in an authentic, small-town way. Â The buffalo chicken sandwich was excellent--just the right amount of spice. Â The whole experience was exactly as I'd hoped--real and down to earth.
My husband and I were coming in somewhat late looking for dinner in Kremmling. We did not have high expectations looking at this place from the outside. Inside you can tell it's the local's favorite, as everyone seemed to know everyone else. Despite us being "outsiders" we were treated very well, and our food was excellent. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his ribeye (and he is very critical of steaks), and I had an excellent buffalo chicken sandwich. All their meat is local and fresh, and you can tell with the steaks coming out of this place. They have a ton of choices on this menu, you won't be disappointed with the price either. Any time we are commuting through Kremmling again, we will definitely stop here. Huge bottle beer selection too!
Review Source:I would recommend eating at the Rocky Mountain Bar and Grill over this place. We have been coming to the area for years to hunt and fish and unfortunately the Saloon has been getting worse and worse. Tonight we ordered the shrimp pasta dish. It was bland and tasteless. It didn't even have salt in it let alone any garlic, cheese or anything. The sauce tasted like flour and milk and nothing else. I don't think we will give this place another chance.
Review Source:This place was amazingly clean and well kept up for an historic building. Â The food was very good and reasonably priced. Â My wife and I each had one of the specials at $7.50. Â The only thing that kept me from awarding the 5th star was that only Bud and Bud Light were on tap. Â They did have some good Colorado Springs craft beers in bottles, and those were served in frosted mugs.
Review Source:Only one vodka tonic here, but I was less than impressed with our lackluster server.
Hey - you live in a quirky little town that could benefit from some tourist dollars, try smiling. And maybe some eye contact would help.
Some of the tables are decorated with pictures of the local towns folk (this is my assumption). They are mildly entertaining. Especially if you try to guess WHY certain photos were chosen.
Odd place. Not bad for a drink though.
We always stop here on our way to Steamboat for snowmobiling. This place has an old time atmosphere with old wooden floors and a rustic feel. There food is just ok - most of it if not all of it, is reheated frozen food. The chicken strips are ok, as are the quesadillas. I would not recommend the Chicken Fried Steak. It is frozen and the mashed potatoes are powdered. On a high note, they serve very stiff drinks.
