Ragged Point Inn

This was my first trip to Big Sur and even though everyone told me I would love it, I was blown away by the beauty and magnitude of this area of the Pacific Coast. The Ragged Point Inn was the cherry on top of the ice cream sundae that was our trip to California. The gas fireplace in the room was an unexpected and romantic touch and the view from our room was indescribably beautiful! Our two nights there were extremely romantic and comfortable. We had everything we needed between the mini mart and the onsite restaurant, which was fantastic. We kept saying that we wanted to get remarried so we could have our wedding here! The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful and gave us recommendations about things to do and places to eat. If we ever return to this area we will definitely stay here again!

The views are incredible, the rooms are ok, but are not worth the cash, the help in the lobby was nice but there was a woman who seemed to be running things that did not handle her authority well and her attitude extends past her employees and on to the guests. She was not amusing. The restaurant is pretty but the food is waaaay below standard.

Our stay at Ragged Point was amazing.  We went up for our anniversary and stayed in one of the upper cliff-side suites.  The room was extremely clean with a king bed, fireplace, jacuzzi bathtub and balcony.  From our room we could see down the coast line for miles and it was stunning.  I loved waking up in the morning to the sound and views of the ocean.  The staff at check in were nice and friendly.  They made us feel welcome and "at home".  There is a beautiful trail that leads down from the resort to a private beach that is breath taking!  Our dinner at the restaurant was fantastic!!!  The Chef is top notch with an amazing menu to choose from.  We will definitely be going back to visit.
