Stopped on the way from Vegas to the Grand Canyon. Totally worth the stop! Food was very good and the staff was so sweet. We thought it might be a little back woodsy if you know what I mean, but we were very wrong. It was a great place and just goes to show you shouldn't judge a book by its cover! Check out the town on Wikipedia so you can go check out the landmarks while you're in town!
Review Source:We stopped by on our way from Wichita, KS to home in San Jose, CA. Â It was great to eat a home cooked meal served with a smile and a cup of Joe. Â I had the 2 egg & chicken fried steak special and ordered a biscuit with sausage & milk gravy. Â Awesome Possum! My daughter was entertained with the quirky books so we bought 2. Â As I was leaving, I noticed the floor. Â It was a jasper agate that was probably mined locally. Â Pretty expensive flooring for a little local cafe which added intrigue to the cafe. Â If you are tired of burgers and fast food come here instead. Â The town could really use your business. Â The food is great.
Review Source:Had the breakfast special which was steak and eggs with potatoes and toast. Â Pretty great price too. Â It was well cooked and everything tasted fine. Â The waitress was very nice and came over enough to check on us. Â
$17 for 4 people, of course the kids shared with us, but not bad for a little restaurant off the road.
The signs all inside the restaurant are so cute and are for sale.
I love this place, the pork green chili is to die for, I get it on everything. It is a small place with lots of funny signs on the walls, and ranch themed decorations. The service is friendly although there is one waitress that has an annoying habit of standing behind the counter with her back to the dining room. All in all great place, the food is like home cooking, nuf said.
Review Source:We found this sweet little cafe on a drive up from Prescott. We were wanting to  drive The Mother Road from here on into Seligman. No much happening in this little town so we were happy to find this place. We ordered up BLT's and cheese omelets and they were all good tasting, All-American dishes.
Our servers were great and the cafe itself was fun "to read" with all the signs on the walls.
Stop here if your heading to Flagstaff, aint much for the next hour goin over the mountain! Cozy little restaurant with comfort food. Prices are decent & the servers are nice. If you don't get the green chili your out of your mind..it's good on anything! Smokey & spicy. Veronica was our server & was super sweet. Â The parking lot was big and your sure to find a spot since it's in a small town :)
Review Source:Stopped off on the way to Flagstaff, it's one of those middle-of-nowhere cafes that wouldn't get a second glance anywhere else. Â That said, the food was delicious, the service was super friendly and the break from driving was welcome. Â Special is green chili (made with green chile peppers and shredded pork), definitely get it if you stop in. Â The place doubles as a small general store with cigarettes and small items on sale. Â The walls are decorated with snarky signs like "If ignorance is bliss, why aren't more people happy?" (my fave). Â If you're looking for a place to stop midway between Las Vegas and Flagstaff, Ranch House Cafe is a pretty good bet.
ps odd as they may sound, the Santa Fe egg rolls are quite excellent. fries are also pretty good as well
Enjoyed a late lunch here this summer during an otherwise nonstop, sweltering drive from Las Vegas en route to Albuquerque. Â It was nice to get in out of the heat. Â I had a breakfast-type meal that included French toast, and it was actually very good. Â Unfortunately, almost everything I touched (silverware, plate, napkins) seemed to have been drizzled with syrup--and I can't stand getting sticky. Â If you're hankering for something obscure, or you're just absolutely starving, or you just have to use the restroom and can't wait any longer, stop in Ash Fork and try out this little eatery. Â Otherwise, keep heading east and get something in Flagstaff.
Review Source:Sharon, whoever she is, has a "Sharon's Special" on the menu which is some of the very best homemade, shredded pork filled, make your nose runny, mildly scorch your toungue Green Chile I have had. Served on top of an order of hashbrowns and topped with melted fresh white mexican and cheddar cheeses. The special comes in a full and half size order if you ask.....and even comes with some really good biscuits and gravy if you ask nicely.
Review Source:I stopped at Ash Fork because I like the name. Dinner was another hamburger; not too bad.
Arizona has huge desert landscapes with hills like a wonky blanket, crazy rock formations and even forests.
Nearby WIlliams is beautiful, but set up for tourists. We make it to the Grand Canyon just in time for sunset.
