Took my 90 year old mother here. Â It was about 1:30 so no one else was there. Â We were very surprised at the cleanliness of this small restaurant.
She only wanted a BBQ sandwich and a Sweet Tea. Â She has very little appetite, but she ate every bit of her sandwich and all of her tea. Â Her only complaint was there was too much BBQ on her sandwich... LOL.... she said she could have made two sandwiches with all that meat.
I had a country fried steak with gravy, fried okra and butterbeans with cornbread and Sweet Tea. Â My plate was cleaned too.... Â I had my fill of tea also with about 4 glasses before we left....
Both meals cost a total of $11.25... Â We will definitely return here.
I was on my way home from Columbus Ga. and was in need of a good lunch. I stopped in downtown Elba and asked 2 folks if there was a good restaurant in town. They both said no. Right then a man walked by me and said"If you wait a minute while I run inside this convenience store, I will drive you right to it" He was on his way to work at one of the local prisons and went right by the Ranch House. It proves there are still nice folks out there. I ordered the baked chicken with fresh mashed potatoes and butter beans. It was so good it makes you want to slap your Momma!
The folks that worked there were so nice and the food was so good, I will make a point to stop by there whenever I am in the area. You will not be disappointed. I promise..
