The drinks and food are a little on the pricey side - but a perfect spot for a date or to treat yourself to something special. Â The service was fantastic, we were checked up on many times with a friendly smile. The food was flavorful. Our spare ribs came out cold but tasted great. Â I think they just have a few more little tweaks to make and it will be a stand-out spot very soon.
Review Source:Went to the Real Mccoy Home Bar and Kitchen last week, having been wanting to check it out for a while. Â From the outside, the place is fairly uninviting. Â First, the name is kind of odd, and the glass window and door are smoked, so you really can't tell what the place is like from the outside.
Once inside, you enter an open room with a couch section to your left, tables and booths past that, and the bar is all the way at the back. Â The decor is clean and inviting, but it has this sort of modern barn feel that is a little weird.
I did not order any of the food on the menu. Â The menu looks very tasty, but prices seem fairly high for the portions that I saw being served to tables around me.
The cocktail menu is small and well done, but a little cluttered to read. Â I ordered a cocktail, the "Devil on the Dotted Line" which essentially just tasted like tequila with celery juice in it. Â A little disappointing with all the hype that this place has. Â My partners drink was much better, but simple and a drink that you could find in many bars. Â Cocktails are also a little overpriced for what you get.
Overall, worth checking out at least once, but nothing special enough that I would go back on a regular basis.
