As this place is 2 minutes from my house i have tried and tried to like it here. Â After several visits i have devided it is just too overpriced for the food and drinks. Â While this place has a great atmosphere, you will often wait forever for a waitress-doesn't matter how busy it is. Â The bartenders need to realize they are working for tips...no drink, no tip. Â
Fried foods are usually overdone and orders have been messed up on numerous occasions.
Save your money-visit another restaurant.
I can't really decide if I like this place or not after stopping in a handful times in the past couple years. Â On one hand they have lots of seating, tons of big screens, and lots of distracting dart machines and arcade games. Â However, the food always seems a bit lacking for me. Â It seems like this might be a better spot for a beer and wings and that's it. Â
If you're thinking, "gee isn't that the essence of most sports bars", you'd be correct. Â However if you're looking for a respite from Casino restaurants nearby and looking for a good meal at a fair price, it would be great if the food here was just a bit better. Â
I'm going to keep giving this place a try when I'm in the neighborhood and trying to see what sticks. Â For now it'll be a 3-star joint.
Weary, wet, tired and hungry I stumbled upon this place sharing the lot w my hotel. Â I must say, pleasantly surprised. Â Myriad of options, and tvs lining the walls. Â A Wednesday night, the bar was filled w 40s + men, the dining room had two massive tables of what appeared to be members of a frat house :). Other than myself no one woman under 50! (In my 30s for the record)
Review Source:Four stars on Sunday and Monday, but had to drop it down because of this evening.
I honestly had a great experience here the first time I came here on Sunday August 5, and yesterday when I just stopped in for a beer. My time this evening started off fine as well with our waitress. Â She initially was attentive, took my drink order, and was just as attentive when my friend arrived to join me.
Then, a group that I can only assume was her family arrived. Â She personally at them next to us, so I could easily compare and contrast the level of service. Â It took 12-15 minutes to get my drink refilled. Â During that time, she repeated went over and kissed her granddaughter on the head with her back to us, or would come over to socialize. Â She never looked around to see if all was OK with us. Â I moved the cocktail placard away from my empty to ensure if she even looked at the table she would see it: no joy. Â She was waiting maybe four tables, yet every time someone else had to bring her food out for her. Â Her family got their food earlier than us, but I'll concede they may have ordered ahead. Her smile was nice and cheerful around her family, yet when we asked for more napkins we could barely even get a thank-you out or ask for anything else by the time she walked off.
I must add the food was great every time, and the wait staff was friendly and attentive every other time. Â I tipped the girl on Sunday 20%, and the bartender last night $5 for a $12 tab. Â I tipped $2 today. Â I decided not to stick around for another beer.
This is our destination dining spot here! We live 300 miles away and always come back annually. The food is awesome, service, fast and staff , stellar. Ask for Gail or Suzy and you will have a great evening with their attentive service. Whatever Manager Dusty is doing to "grow" a great staff, he should continue. Order the fab wings for an app and Southwestern salad for dinner and you will walk away filled. Don't forget dessert! All high quality, fresh food that those big chains will not give you. We would give it more than five stars....and are returning tomorrow night for dinner again! I want the fresh tenders...hubby wants a burger! Extra yummm!
Review Source:Passing through this town, there wasn't much walking distance from our hotel. So we visited here based on the good yelp reviews. Frankly, I don't know why such high ratings. It's a sports bar atmosphere with typical sports bar food. Our chili was tasty but cold. Salad was eh. And drinks were overpriced. Service was ok once they got around to our table. That tool awhile. Lots of TVs if you're into that. And they tuned in to all the sports going on that night.
Review Source:This place has seriously the best chicken fingers I've ever had. They're fresh, never frozen, and hand battered to order. I'm really glad we stumbled upon this place while driving through the middle of nowhere. It's clean, the booths are comfortable, and it wasn't too loud for a sports bar.
Review Source:This place is a god-send in this area, seriously! When you want to go out for a casual drink, it's such a relief to be able to come here instead of having to choose between a nearby hick dive or driving all the way to New Hartford to go to an Unos or major chain like that. This place is a great sports bar that's family friendly--during dining hours, there are usually just as many families (sometimes with kids, sometimes without) as there are friends there for a beer and a game.
The food is always reliably good bar/restaurant fare. Last time, I had the buffalo chicken tenders (delicious!), although they were completely out of wings during our visit. I do have to say that it's a shame they took the southwest-style egg rolls off the menu, because those were amazing. The chips with salsa, hummus, and sour cream are better than most chips + dip combos, although I would have preferred a full-on nacho plate. Our server last time was super friendly. The only recommendation I would have would be to have a beer list--she rambled off the beers so quickly that I couldn't remember what the options were! Because of that, I don't know if they were carrying any Saranac (I didn't hear it on the list so I went for something else), but I would definitely recommend that they carry something from that local brewery if they don't already.
There are a lot of younger people here at night, a combination of locals and visitors to the casino, and it's a pretty fun place to hang out. It's also super convenient that it's right next to the Marriott. I had a group party here one evening and half of the people attending were staying the Marriott, so they could drink as much as they wanted and then just walk back to their hotel after.
My second visit to Recovery - this time I ordered the Turkey Cobb Salad with a balsamic vinaigrette dressing. The salad includes Romaine lettuce, tomatoes, onions, blue cheese, bacon, and more. The salad was excellent!
I also had the opportunity to sample one of my colleagues chicken tenders. The Buffalo sauce they provided with the chicken was nicely spicy. The chicken has an interesting crunchy coating - I loved the chicken tenders and would order them again. We were also brought a sample of their sweet potato fries with an amazing dipping sauce. The fries were incredible! Tender and chewy on the inside, crispy on the outside and perfectly seasoned!
Service was friendly and very good!
