We made reservations based on reviews here on Yelp - especially concerning the Paella.  We had Ceasar Salad and the Potato wedges for appetizers and both were well made and tasty; although there wasn't egg in the salad. We had Hanger Steak and the Shrimp/Chicken paella.  Both were delicious!  We had cheesecake and rum--soaked rum sponge cake that were both tasty and well presented.  It was a very lovely evening!

Awesome food and completely reasonable pricing!  A different type of dining experience only capable of being delivered by this type of gourmet Mom n' Pop type restaurant.

If your heading for a night at the Tourney Stone Casino look 5 minutes to the Southwest on 365 for this place and an awesome dinner awaits you to start your night!

I decided to come to Zabroso after searching the area for Spanish food and this was closest to me. I've been lucky enough to eat at some VERY good Spanish/tapas restaurants as well as authentic Puerto Rican food and the reviews seemed to be very enthusiastic about the quality of the food. Honestly, it was all pretty middle of the road. It wasn't bad at all but it wasn't particularly great either. Things were either under seasoned or tasted like they came out of a box. Cheese and meat plate was very skimpy on portion size and not the best chorizo, Serrano or manchego I've had. Empanadas were pretty tasty but reminded me of the frozen ones made by Goya...but I like those so it's cool. The ham croquettes had WAY too much cheese and nowhere near enough ham. They were kind of a congealed mess. The shrimp ajillo came in a VERY tasty broth but the shrimps were over cooked and rubbery.  The sausage was the tastiest dish but how hard is it to mess up grilled sausage? It was also swimming in a very ketchup heavy sauce. Literally there was a small pool of ketchup in the middle of the plate along with the rest of the sauce. Wtf is that all about?! My partner got the pulled pork mofongo which was good but not great. Then again we were spoiled by the mofongo in puerto rico. Pernil confitado featured very nicely cooked pork, crispy platanos, decent spanish rice but had points taken away for being slathered in a "barbecue" sauce that was also very ketchup heavy and pretty unnecessary. So yeah. Food is decent but not great and not worth the cost. I didn't get dessert because nothing really struck me as worth paying any more money for. The ambience is pretty cool as it feels like you're eating at someone's house. It's very warm and inviting I think. The service was very quick but at times befuddling. I had a plate taken away by the server right after he asked me if I was finished without giving me time to answer. I was not, by the way. He was nice and attentive, but it just seemed like he was trying to hurry us out the door. Anyways, it's a decent place to grab a drink and maybe a couple of small plates but I wouldn't recommend a whole meal here. I don't think it's worth the money. Also, please take my negativity with a grain of salt as I have been spoiled with very good and authentic tapas, Spanish and Puerto Rican cuisine. If you're new to this food then this is a GREAT place for you to get your feet wet and a very nice but costly place to go on a first date.
