Great food and always fresh, Don't expect a fast food service as your food is being prepared from scratch so enjoy your company and relax . The only complaint i have is the lack of signage outside so its a little tricky to spot. My wife had the pork chop and i had the chicken sandwich and we were both very pleased and can't wait to go back. If you are in Conroe this is very good food at  reasonable prices
Review Source:Great little place. It's hard to find a good selection of craft beer in this area so it is a shoe in for me when I am in Conroe. Plus the food is awesome. Â They have about 12 beers all on tap so a little limited compared to other craft beer spots in Houston but all the beers touch on each style so they have something for everyone's taste. Wood fired pizza is always a great choice but they have other great food to choose from. If you are in the area stop by for a quick drink you won't be disappointed especially if you are in Conroe its as good as you will find.
Review Source:Great bacon fried oysters. Love the Shepherd's Pie. It came in a small cast iron pan. They do a great job with the food presentation as well as having unique menu items. I love the food. I have only been here for lunch. It is a bit pricey. I would not eat lunch here every day, but I enjoy it when I can. It is a neat little town square place. Cozy and comfortable.
Review Source:Delicious food. Great beer selection! What more could you need? (Other than perhaps a more visible beer sign)
Every time I have been in, the waitstaff has been very friendly. I've tried the pork nachos, thai wings, margarita pizza, Blues Burger, and the mac & cheese all of which have been great! If only once, you definitely have to try their chicken fried corn on the cob with cinnamon butter.
Looking forward to going back again soon.
I recently had lunch at this newly opened tavern in downtown Conroe. Â I ordered the fish tacos (a lifetime favorite of mine) and I can honestly say they were the best fish tacos I have ever eaten!! Â My friend had the cornbread which was a huge serving and soooo good! Â I have heard from others that the pizza here is especially great, so will go again and try it. Â The decor is very nice, the staff and waitress were very attentive. Â It's a place to visit often for great food! Â I recommend it. Â Conroe needs a place like this!
Review Source:Went to this place for lunch around 2:00 so staff was a little distracted ~ I had to ask for silverware & napkins. Â I was not encouraged but then the food came. Â Beef vegetable soup was surprisingly hearty and quite good. Â Ordered the chicken ceasar salad which was beautifully constructed and had these sweet cornbread croutons which were unexpected but delicious ! Â By the time I left this place I was laughing with the staff and complimenting their place. Â I will go back to try the pizza. Â Highly recommend.
Review Source:3.5 Stars - Highly recommend the Bacon Oysters and the Pizza. Â The Dr Pepper wings were both novel and good. Â Meat loaf was just ok as where the pork nachos. Â Had the service been a bit better, could have moved up to four stars, but was slow with the few errors, nothing horrible. Â Not bad for Conroe.
Review Source:GO Conroe!
In the heart of downtown Conroe, TX around the corner (pun intended) from the Corner Bar sits this newly opened music venue / restaurant. We have heard the music is good, and we now KNOW the food is very good.
Honestly, the place is kinda small for a music venue and I have a feeling once the stage and band is set up you would be hard pressed to get a hundred people in here. The actual brick walls may play havoc with the acoustics as well but that is yet to be determined for us. Again, we haven't been for music, just food.
Mama had the french onion soup as a starter and it was the only thing we tried that was underwhelming. Just a few scraps of Gouda on top of a slice of bread, a light broth and canalized onions. When I think french onion soup I think of a bowl covered in melty cheese that you have to dig through to get to the onions etc. This was not that.....
The star of the show was the open faced meat loaf sandwich. It consisted of a hearty piece of bread topped with a generous slice of moist meat loaf, topped with mashed potatoes, onions strings and bbq sauce. Very very good.
The pizza was good as well but there are a few places nearby where you can get a better pie. Great crust, decent sauce, and fresh toppings.
All things considered - atmosphere - prices - food - drink - music, I have no doubt that this will be a success in Conroe. It's always a good sign when you see police officers and an older crowd at any place. This usually means the food is good and the prices are fair. System worked again. Good job Red Brick. Well Done!
