Stopped here on our way home from a Disneyland trip with the Fam. This place would probably get more people to stop if they changed the outside appearance of this place.
Glad we did, the food and service was so much better then all the fast food spots.
Prices are a bit high, but when you factor in what you get above and beyond, a place like Mc D's. Its worth it.
Would stop again my next trip out to or back from CA.
Stopped in here on our way from Sedona to Los Angeles. Â I was weary, feeling that it probably sucked. Â I was wrong. Â Awesome restaurant, I was so impressed. Â Loved the dishes we ordered including the wings with hot sauce. Â Their sauces should be bottled. Â Seriously. Â Fresh, tasty, well priced and great service. Â Nice ambience too. Â I highly recommend. Â Now of they could open a spot up in Los Angeles...
Review Source:Did I just go into some weird portal? Been working off and on (thankfully more off than on lately) in Blythe for years and had worn out all the restaurants (miss you Fairway's).
This was very refreshing for Blythe.
There was a card in the room at the Comfort Suites (best place in town) and it turned out to be right next to the hotel in the old Towne Square and Maria's building (if you know either of those names you have spent way too much time in Blythe). Very nice interior.
Walked over with my parents who came up from Yuma. Excellent service right off the bat. We were seated promptly and given the right amount of time to browse the menu (discount on appetizers with room key - get the tequlia shrimp!).
The shrimp were very tasty on a bed of excellent rice. I had a "Dirty Martini" but while it was good, not really a dirty martini.
Parents had the Salmon with veggies and garlic potatoes and a chicken salad. I had the chopped BBQ chicken sandwich with house chips. Good sandwich but the bread was a bit oily and I reverted to a knife and fork. Good chips, maybe just a bit too much pepper.
Excellent service. Place was half full at 5:30, emptied out a bit and was packed when we left.
This is for sure the best restaurant in town (Dad still likes the Courtesy and I'll give him that because I like it too).
Stop by if you're around.
This place was one of the only vegan 'friendly' place between Phoenix and LA. They basically have one thing on the menu I could eat. They have a bunch of yummy looking burgers, but no veggie patty, what?! Boo.
I got the Mandarin salad, without cheese or the ranch dressing, and chose the option to put it in a wrap. Asked for BBQ sauce and stuck some of the chips in my wrap.
My dad's chili relleno was luke warm and my grandmother's sandwich had really soggy bread. My mom enjoyed it enough though.
They do have an okay beer selection.
If we do this trip again, we will probably stop there again, but I wouldn't go if I had the option.
Great food. Great service.
After being on the road from Jerome, AZ heading west to LA we stopped for food and found the Red Cactus Bar and Grill.
The burgers we ordered were "Good Eats," and the young lady serving us was fantastic; Seneka I think was her name. Anyhow, she was the most pleasant we encountered on this 8-9 hour drive.
Thank you, and we will come again.
On your way to Phoenix this is probably the best place to stop to get a good meal and watch sportscenter...which I hate to miss while driving out to Phoenix.
Draft beer & wings will save any drive through the desert...I had both and both were good. Â Boneless & Bone In, both tasty & seemed fresh/cooked to order. Â
Salad was a little weak but what are you gonna do...probably not a salad joint.
I ordered Turkey avocado salad as wrap (as did wife). She had the shoestring fries and I had the house chips. The chips were really pretty good.
We had a very friendly waiter, and the decor/atmosphere is beyond what you would expect in Blythe. Full bar, but the drinks seemed a little on the weak side.
Prices were great.
Very hard to find no signage! Food over priced! I was traveling from Phoenix to LA and seen signs of burgers and beer! My burger was dried out covered with black beans and the egg was overcooked! You would think the waitress would notice that I didn't like it! No menu for kids? Dried fries! The beer was great! Too cold to eat in the dining area so we sat in the sports bar! Nice TVs and great place if you only came for drinks! We spent $97 dollars and had to eat again when we got home two hours later???? That was dinner!
Also annoying owner or cook was taking in a delivery and was yelling across the restaurant where he wanted the order to be placed? Get up with your overalls and handle it boss hog!
This place totally took me by surprise. Davis and I stopped in Blythe for the night so that we could drive into Arizona in the daytime. I didn't want to eat at the Denny's and there was a billboard for Red Cactus right as we exited the freeway. Lucky us. The place was packed but we sat promptly at the bar.
The food was about 4 stars but what really put our experience over the top was the staff. Everyone was so incredibly personable, friendly and ready to help. The bartenders both paid very good attention to us even though we only ordered one drink (the Blue Avatar - yum!). It was very impressive and I was happy to be there.
Davis had The Classic burger with crisscut fries. I had the salmon. It comes with a very basic salad, steamed vegetables and a side. I had the sauteed mushrooms. The burger was very good and the fries were perfect. My salmon was well cooked. I asked for a side of thai chili sauce and smothered my fish in it. Delicious. The veggies and mushrooms both had a little too much butter on them but they still tasted great.
In the unlikely situation that I'm ever in Blythe again I would definitely go to the Red Cactus again.
My hometown finally has a place to watch a game. I still don't like going back to visit Blythe but between staying at the Comfort Suits, and the Red Cactus ist is more than bearalbe, nigh enjoyable.
The thai chili sauce should have its own restaurant because that stuff is amazing, I wonder if you can put it on everything? and have you ever felt more like a man than when you eating a huge delicious burger with homemade chili, and an egg on it, while enjoying a cold beer, and watching Sunday Night Football? The answer is no you haven't.

This place outdoes itself everytime I go.
Awesome place! As a frequent traveler through Blythe we were surprised to see a new restaurant. We decided to try out the newly opened Red Cactus and boy were we glad we did. Our food was amazing. The staff was very friendly. I ordered the stuffed poblanos and my wife ordered the house turkey club. They were AMAZING.. I will definitely be eating here next time I pass through Blythe.
Review Source:In Blythe for two days on business. Came for dinner our first night then decided it was too good to pass up for lunch the next day! Great wings with sweet Thai chili sauce, had the Southwest Combo with steak and stuff poblano, AMAZING! Super good food in a place that unfortunately doesn't have many options.
Review Source:Beleive it or not this was a nice surprise. Doesnt look like much from the outside but inside looks very new and fresh. A lot of tv's too. Food was good and actually a little creative for blythe california. If you are passing through and want a decent meal without being stuck at dennys i would reccomend this place.
Review Source:I'm of the opinion that travelers through the area should not be allowed. I mean, if you're just traveling through, and you stop and eat here, you'll get the mis-impression that this place represents Blythe--- NOT HARDLY!!! For folks who live in Blythe or are here for work, this place is an oasis, a transport to civilized society where food is tasty, and the ambiance feels like- well, civilization. Offering up such an oasis has been maybe a bite bigger than the owners anticipated (expect a wait and expect to see every local dressed up for the place) - but boy howdy, is every employee trying to keep up from the cook to the server to the hostess? Oh, man, the owners just didn't know the pandora's box they were opening in opening this restaurant!! Â It's honestly the best place in town. It's still not maybe as great as one might be used to in a city, but it's VERY close. The food is good, the service is catching up- who knew they'd be so busy. But again, if you're just passing through Blythe, stop at Steak & Cakes or the Courtesy for the real Blythe experience, if you want to know what the hottest place in town is, stop here, but don't linger- those of us working here NEED this place and don't need you travelers filling it up- surely you're onward to a destination that will fill your needs. A great big thank you to the owners for opening this place up, I hope it will be successful.
Review Source:Red Cactus Bar & Grill is  very new restaurant owned by locals in the city of Blythe. More specifically their sons, who went to San Diego for college. Well they brought a little piece of San Diego back to the city of Blythe. It is a trendy decorated restaurant and bar. The bar and restaurant area are separated so the noise doesn't travel between the two.  I sat in the bar and was immediately greeted by 2 very friendly bar tenders who were pleasant to chit chat with. I had a Bikini Martini (which is a funny shade of lavender) which was the best watermelon martini ever. Then dinner was the open face steak sandwich. Finding a good steak is always hard and this was a very well cooked steak. Juicy, no pink, and tender. the flavors of the tomatoes, blue cheese, meat spices, and handmade chips really complimented each other. I then had the Sonora tequila sunrise. Which was again, well made and served with friendly chit chat and a smile. No one can say the locals in Blythe are not friendly. At this point I was a little buzzed and decided to try their boneless chicken wings and went with the Thai chili sauce. First flavor note was a sweet then followed up by a surprising flavorful hotness that lasts longer. All in all very pleased. The only suggestion that I would make are to add a few more items to the walls for color. They also have TVs with anything you want on them all around the bar. Mexico was playing soccer so that is what was on when I was there. I would definitely go back again and this is one of the only places I can get vegetables that are raw or steamed or stir fried instead of canned and or boiled like the other restaurants in town.
