  I love Red Star Cafe! My grandfather used to take me here for breakfasts. I recently returned for the first time since he passed 8 years ago. It is still just as good as I remember it. Go for the country breakfast or omelettes. We also ate lunch there and I had the burger. Delicious! I highly recommend for locals or for folks just passing through on I-20.

  We stopped here for lunch while out on a Sunday Harley ride. Staff was friendly and the place was clean. Food was typical diner style food, but it came out quick and was nice and hot. Plus, you can get gas at the attached station. Win win.

  Perfect truck stop food. Stopped for breakfast several times for trucker breakfast. Service fast as you sit down and food in 5 minutes. Finally got a chance for lunch and ordered chicken fried steak (of course). Small order was a plate full and just like I used to get years ago before precooked meals and microwaves. Big serving came with great mashed potatoes and a bowl of great white gravy (with spoon)and hot bread. Yum, yum. Oh, this restaurant is located at the intersection of I-20 and State Hwy 6 not as indicated on map.
