FESTIVAL DAY: Celebration of Crafts
Since the festival was on Saturday, this was the perfect opportunity for the Redbud Cafe to get its name on the map. I took my chances and wandered in, saw the limited menu and ordered.
I ordered a seared tuna wrap ($5), fried green tomatoes ($4) that were served with goat cheese and apple butter, lemonade ($1) and a coffee($1). I got the drinks after paying and waited a few minutes and spotted two ladies about to leave their table. My toddler and I grabbed the table and wiped the table down ourselves. Â Minutes later, a server yelled my name and brought it right to us.
No plates, utensils or napkins were delivered. I went up to the counter and helped myself. The wrap was cut diagonally in half and wrapped  in parchment paper. The fried green tomatoes were in a small disposable server with the goat cheese and the apple butter on the side. The presentation was no frills, but the flavor was outstanding.
I would like to return during regular hours to give this another review. I wonder if food is served on disposables or on plates. I don't have any way of knowing the menu selection or prices, so it can be a gamble. If you're in for creative, mouthwatering flavors, I'd try the Redbud Cafe for sure. The cashier was awesome. The food was delivered at the right temp. The prices were fair. I'll be back.
